The treble is still killing me on these, the 4K region is awful I have to EQ down -10 dB or so with a wide Q, after mucking with the EQ for half a day I got it to sound much better, but still not good, still harsh and spiky when snares hit.   I don't know if it's the tips, my ears, bad pair...

I can't make them sound 'natural' with the EQ. I think it's because the problem isn't a general treble lift but rather these are very narrow peaks so it's hard to isolate them, and narrow dips on the EQ don't sound that good. I think they are just too harsh for my taste, I better look for...
