    Vsonic VSD1 or VSD1S?

I've been away from head-fi for a while after selling all my gear, i'm now after a budget set of IEM's and have found lot's of praise for the VSD1's by vsonic.   I'm trying to work out which version to buy, i've heard a few people mention slight sibilance in one, whereas the 'S' version has a...

Whats the general concensus on Tripath/T-Amps? All hype or good value?

the main issue i've experienced is the upper treble roll-off (i'm talking somewhere in the 15khz area), this is pretty obvious compared to any other amp and is noticeable on every set of speakers i've tried. Should this be expected ...sound signature wise or does that sound pretty off? Every...

Whats the general concensus on Tripath/T-Amps? All hype or good value?

I've been reading into all this hype recently about the original T-Amp and it's souped up derivatives using the Tripath TA2024 chip and the reviews gushing praise so with a little money ready to waste i went out and bought a chinese variant (still using the TA2024). Now i always go into...

    Quick question, headphone output 300-600ohms?

Thinking about buying a valve headphone amp, the output is specified at 300-600ohms, the headphones i'm intending to use with this thing range from 32-75ohms ...what kind of problems or conflicts will this cause me? Any help is appreciated!

    ER4p + 75ohm mod = rolled off?

Just had an instant urge to try this mod after reading about it and after some ham-handed soldering with questionable results i managed to create a cable with two 75 ohm metal film resistors in place on the left and right channel. After a quick test everything seems to be connected fine, i've...

    Pics of IEM in-use.

^^thats sort of how i remember my E2c's being, they rest along your ear and then curve into your ear canal (the ER4's seemed to stick right out of my ears, i chose them over the E4c's but i wasn't ever going to consider wearing the ER4's in public...)

Why is headphone neutrality so rare?

I've just bought a pair of speakers from ebay without a demo, my main concern was that they wouldn't fit my preferred sound signature (which i'm very picky about) ...after 5 minutes use i came to the conclusion that they were fine ...pretty much neutral to what i'm used to. Then i start...

    Calling digital camera experts!

pretty much a novice in this area but as far as i know there is no such thing, the idea is that high resolution camera's have the ability to crop pictures to pretty much any 'screen ratio' without much effect on print quality, whereas my 3 megapixel powershot S1 produces a great pictures yet...

All i will say is that i've owned SR225's, DT880's and i'm still using the my trusty HP890's today. Basicly they have no real flaws except for being less detailed than better phones and are great headphones to start with
