    Headphone Sightings 2

I saw a guy with grados around my campus!  Was a real surprise, we usually don't see them in Canada.   Also saw a guy walking around with HD555s outside, very strange.

Move over AD700 and other mid-fi headphones, Onn is in town!!!... Who??? (Canadian's REJOICE!)

Wow, you mean there’s a good deal for once for Canadians?   And Canadians only?   Hahaha, I’ll have to check out Wally mart sometime.

    Headphone Sightings 2

Saw some girl wearing HD 485s at the library!   Aside from that, LOTS of beats.   It’s kind of redic. how many there are around here.  I would say that excluding buds, about 45% of headphones are beats, the other 45% are sony variations, and the remaining 10 (probably even less than...

    Help me pick, please.

I've had similar problems when looking for my headphones...  Most people suggested using the forums here, http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/, eBay, a friend/border service in the US.     There were a pair of new, but open box AD700s on ebay for $100 after all fees.  They are open though...

Cheap Entry-level cans for a Canadian newb?

Thanks for all your help guys.   I ended up getting re0s and some HD555s from the forums at a price better than NCIX's last sale.  Looking forward to testing them out, seeing how I like the sound, and possibly getting more headphones in the future.

Cheap Entry-level cans for a Canadian newb?

Quote: Thanks, their prices are decent.  I just wish they had more selection though.  Only model they carry (from what I can see from the website) that I mentioned were the M50s, and those ran for just under $200...   Quote: Quote: Well... the PX100s and KSC75s aren't...

Cheap Entry-level cans for a Canadian newb?

Yeah, audio equipment is pretty expensive in Canada.  I got my sennheiser cx300s from J&R for around $20ish a year ago, and shipping was $7 or so.  Still a pretty good deal though!  And my Panasonics I got as a gift, but they were only $30, and my "gifter" had it shipped to a cousin living in...

Cheap Entry-level cans for a Canadian newb?

Quote:   AD700s are 89 on amazon.com.  I think I checked this, but sellers that do ship sell it for a lot more (100 at least), shipping is at least $30, then you gotta add customs and tax on that...   I just don't feel right paying double what our American counterparts pay.  Such a...

Cheap Entry-level cans for a Canadian newb?

Quote: Really?  I find that although Amazon has good prices, most items don't ship to Canada, and if they do, the shipping is really expensive.  It's really not worth it, especially when I think of all the additional fees I am going to have to pay, when it crosses the border.     I am...

Cheap Entry-level cans for a Canadian newb?

Quote: I'm actually located in the Greater Toronto Area.  I've checked out some Toronto store websites, and all of their stuff is overpriced...   Quote: Hey thanks a lot!  I didn't know that thread existed.  I checked out every retailer... $$$.  I am thinking I may have to...

Cheap Entry-level cans for a Canadian newb?

Hey head-fi!  I’ve been lurking a lot recently, but I only just joined.  Been doing a lot of reading and just wanted a more expert opinion on what good entry level headphones I should get.  I’m sorry for making another “newbie recommendation” thread!   I listen to a lot of different genres...
