LCD-2 plus Continental v.2 or Rx mkII?

I have both... driving LCD2 rev 2 + ALO Salty Pepper cable.   Both amps works with with LCD2.  But the Continental ended up getting more playtime than the RxII.   The RxII demonstrated excellent dynamic with LCD2--allowing you to feel percussion in the track. The trade-off is a...

Getting "called-out" for not wearing the Beats

I'm sure majority of the Beats owner couldn't care more about the difference between compressed and loss-less file.  Most of them don't know what "impedance" or "dynamic range" are--you can experiment it yourselves.  They are wearing Beats because it make them feel good... perhaps they do enjoy...

    a900 vs esw9 vs es-10

For rock and off your list I'd say A900   Off my list I'd say the M50 (again)... also you might consider the HD25 which I think would do rock better... but not as good for other genre especially classical.

    a900 vs esw9 vs es-10

I'm starting to think of myself as an AT fan (a new one).   My AT collection are: M50 ES7 (sold) A900 (sold) ES10 AD2000   If budget is an issue ES7 (sound almost identical to M50) would be my first choice.   ES10 has sweet mids and highs but the bottom end is just a tad...

    ATH-M50 Amp Suggestions

Used M50 with D2+ (sold)and get a bit better sound stage Also tried with Fiio Meier and several other brands. Now only use the M50 unamped with Classic and 3GS. It's already great sound cans. No need for amping.

If price were no object would you rather get Studio Beats or ATH m50s?

M50 is my 2nd full-size phones after MS2is.  I'd pick them over the Beats Studio anytime.  On the other hand, I also tried the Beats Pro which has noticeable smoother but less comfortable.  I might consider changing to the Beats Pro if price is lower.   My 2 cents.

Audio-Technica ATH-ES10 (as universal headphones) for $350. Wise or Not?

I own both M50 and ES10.  Each serves different purposes... M50 for home listening in my home library (it's more comfortable to me and has larger soundstage) ES10 is for all other listening situations including outdoor.  M50 is too big for the street.  ES10 is stylish and suitable for the...

Audiotechnica ATH-M50 second thought before new ordering

My first full-size headphones are MS2is (Grado's Lab)... the ATH-M50 is the second.  I found myself liking the M50 more for practicality (it's a closed cans) and portability.  Both performs well connected to iPod/iPhone without any help from amp.  M50 is not the most comfortable but I'd say it's...

Help upgrading from Audio Technica ATH-M50s

My 2cents If you already like AT signature (generally bright cans).  Stick with AT.  If you wanted a portable use I suggest ES series or look for the A series (+1K) for more critical listening.   I brought an ES7 for portable use after hooked on to the M50 signature but founded the M50 to...

    Audio-technica m50~

Stop asking question and just order one.   . I own Turbine, MS2i, ES7, M50, and a few Sony's plus K702 + DT990/600 on their way.   Currently, I'd say the M50 is the phone I'd pick first for general music listening--and after the 2 new phones arrive, I'd probably still pick the M50 first...
