Would you post to a forum member IF........

They asked you to post an item to the other side of the world without paying for it first?   Said member has decent feeback.... +15 (Vlooienuker). Properly reluctant to do this... One of my mates has been scammed out of about £600 on this forum but only through PayPal gifts.   Obvious...

Unique Melody Miracle Review & Impressions Thread

What would the difference between the Mage and the Miracle be. £700 is WAY above what I want to spend. I could. But I would sooner have the Mage.   Any good for metal?

Multi-Custom In-Ear Monitor Review, Resource, Mfg List & Discussion (Check first post for review links & information)

Oh right ok, I agree with that about the UM3X. Ive read, and witnessed the bass hump and it really makes voices and guitars sound properly quiet. Its not the amount of bass in the UM3X that bothers me either, just the fact it ruins the mid range, if the mids were on the same level or a bit more...

Multi-Custom In-Ear Monitor Review, Resource, Mfg List & Discussion (Check first post for review links & information)

Its not really heavy. Megadeth, Nuclear assault. I ruled out the Merlin because of its bass, I figured it might be similar to the UM3X. I really hate the forward lows

Multi-Custom In-Ear Monitor Review, Resource, Mfg List & Discussion (Check first post for review links & information)

Advice please.   I need a CIEM for thrash metal.   Ideally I'd like forward mids that bring vocals and electric guitars into picture more than anything else.   Bass shouldn't be too far behind as I'd like kick drums and bass guitars to provide good impact, but shouldn't be to the...

    C-IEM for Thrash Metal?

What would you choose and why.   Really want a 1964 V6 Or UM Mage but not sure if would suit taste... I dont care for bass and I loved the flat frequency of the RE262. I hate the amount of bass in the UM3X I currently own and it destroys the midrange.   UK offerings only - See this site...

    1964 Ears

Still properly torn between the V6 and the Mage. A lot of my favorite albums are from 88 so they dont always sound good.

    1964 Ears

Are there V6 owners that listen to metal? How do you rate them?   I would describe thrash metal as not having bass. I owned RE262 and they have flat frequency and thought they were great. Could have done with more bass sure but I learned to live with them.   Little bit lost with what to...

    1964 Ears

Thanks, the mage is £100 cheaper. I listen to fast metal. Not heavy or deep stuff though. I dont doubt either would be too bassy actually but im a little torn now as to which to get.   Which would produce more bass? Looking at the graphs the V6 might be better as the bass drops by 150 but I...

    1964 Ears

Quote:   Oh yeah for sure. But I dont want to get lumped with a CIEM I hate. The UM3X ive got now needs the volume cranking up to get the mids to decent listening level. Which brings the bass to the point where my ears ring after listening for 20 minutes.   Im just trying to determine...

    1964 Ears

Quote:   Why do you suggest that?   Bass is the issue here the less there is the better (Not quite, some would be nice, but I wouldnt want it to bleed over the mids).

Ive had more than one person mention the Alclair to me. I dont think they are available in the UK.   I think ive settled on Unique Melody Mage, the frequency is flat enough and ive read that it doesnt have a lot of bass despite its drivers.

Unique Melody Mage Review & Appreciation Thread

How would you all describe the bass of these things then.   Im after as little as possible really. Quite liked the flat signature of the RE262, although they were a little bit lacking. Needs to have some impact for drums but not to the point where it makes the guitars and vocals sound quiet...

The Electric Guitar & Male Voice - Is this Low, Mid or High Frequency?

Thanks randomkid, I will look into those also.   I was looking at Unique Melody too.     Marvel is the cheapest with dual drivers but that curve might be OK? Why is it higher than the others also?   Considering the mage as well but theres a bass hump again which could annoy me...

The Electric Guitar & Male Voice - Is this Low, Mid or High Frequency?

Quote: Looked at those and someone said the same thing. Unfortunately I cant find it in the UK otherwise they would have been on my list.   Im limited to any of these in the UK really.   http://www.theheadphonecompany.co.uk/index.php   Unique Melody Mage look good frequency I...

The Electric Guitar & Male Voice - Is this Low, Mid or High Frequency?

Looking at the RE262's frequency response, that has a fairly flat frequency. Maybe that's why I liked them so much so I guess you're right! I guess Ill try find a set of CIEMs that have a similar response.   UM3X's Freq: (I get the impression the green line is what I should be looking for)...

    1964 Ears

I guess I would hate them then. Are there any graphs of the V6 to look at i cant find any? Really dont want an IEM thats got thick and overpowering low end that really ****s up the mids. Frankly I dont like much bass atall.

The Electric Guitar & Male Voice - Is this Low, Mid or High Frequency?

Brilliant thanks for the response. Dont suppose you know how a 1964Ears V6 might be for that kind of music then?

The Electric Guitar & Male Voice - Is this Low, Mid or High Frequency?

I'm serious here, I'm trying to determine which IEM's would suite my musical tastes (Thrash Metal) from IEM reviews.   I know that, ultimately, its me that has to shortlist from the 100's of IEM's available rather than asking in the forums.   What I really want to know is what I might...
