Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
If you bought more than one, then you get the two in a larger box (i'm not sure how it looks with just one). Then once you open them, each triplefi is in another box (cardboard). Once you take off the cardboard you get a black box that is closed with velcro. If you search "triplefi package"...- JacobTerrado

You could try the ultrasone hfi 580 or the audio technica m50. I would prefer the hfi 580 though- JacobTerrado

ATH M50 or M50S? Amped or no? If yes, which amp?
The only difference between the M50 and M50s, is that one has a straight cable and the other has a coiled. The one with the 's' has the straight cable (longer), while the other one has the coiled cable. The m50's are fine without an amp. They are pretty easy to drive headphones. The fiio e5...- JacobTerrado

Needs a new Iem
Hi everybody, i'm in search of a new pair of IEMs. I'm plugging it into my ipod touch/ ibasso D10, and maybe my computer. I listen to mainstream music, pop, electronic, etc. Are there any iems similar to the Ultrasone Hfi 580 ? The HFI 580 has very forward mids, but still retains a nice bass. My...- JacobTerrado

HELP! M50 vs Q40 vs HFI 780
The M50's are good for the money. If you don't mind a little bit of recessed mids (vocals and other sounds similar in that frequency), i would suggest you get them. If that does matter to you, then i suggest you get the Ultrasone HFI 580 (i know it's not on your list, but it's similar/ better...- JacobTerrado

My HFI-580 impressions.
@Matt3D I have both the HFI 580 and the M50. I'm not as experienced as many so my description may be off or somewhat inaccurate The M50's bass extends further than the ultrasones. The lower frequencies are heard more, than the HFI 580--but it doesn't meant that the lower frequencies are not...- JacobTerrado

ATH-M50 vs. HFI-780... or anything else?
I have the M50's and, though not the Hfi 780, i have the Hfi 580. 1. In my opinion, the Hfi 580 is more portable than the M50's. However, the bag that the M50's came with is better than the Hfi. The m50's came with a leather (not sure if it's real o.o) bag, whereas the Hfi 580 came with a...- JacobTerrado

M50 strain relief came off?
What you have to do is to expand the string, so that you can get the spring inside the jack. What i did was, i put my fingernail on the end of the spring, and pinned it down to the jack. Then, I stretched the spring just enough so that i could fit the spring in. Then i hooked it in the jack, and...- JacobTerrado

Entry level headphones for around $200
You might want to consider the M50's ($100 more or less) and either the Nuforce uDac2 ($130 more or less) or Fiio E7 ($100) The uDac2 is solely a Dac that will improve your computer's audio source The E7 on the other hand can either function as an amp or a dac. The M50's are comfortable...- JacobTerrado

Audio-Technica ATH-M50 vs Shure SRH750DJ & SRH840
After i awhile, i got used to the pressure of the M50's headband. You can just stretch them out, if it's uncomfortable, but this will take away some of it's noise isolating- JacobTerrado

High Schooler looking for his first serious headphones
I can only comment on the M50's because those are the only ones i have : o Quote: 1. They fit your price range if you get them at the correct place. I.E. Ebay (beware of fakes), etc. 2. These are closed. They block out sound from the outside, and usually don't leak. Playing them really...- JacobTerrado

Headphones for kpop?
If you want headphones that isolate, you shouldn't pick the Grado, because they're open headphones. They'd allow sound out/ in. I would suggest the M50's with kpop. It's currently what i'm using It's a bit bulky though to be portable. You might want to try ATH-Es7, though i'm not sure about...- JacobTerrado

Which amp has a "better" bass to it? I'm probably going to leave the Tube as the stock, so tube switching probably be won't possible. Same for the op-amp of the amp/tube amp- JacobTerrado

$200-250 Headphone Amp
I'm looking for a headphone amp around that price range. I will use them to power an M50, and in the future, either a Denon AHD2000 or Audio Technica ESW9. I listen to all types of music. If it helps, i like the sound of the M50's before burn-in occurs. I like the fullness of the bass of the...- JacobTerrado

[*UPDATED*] M50s, are they the best for me? (most likely not anymore)
If you listen to a lot of kpop like me (big bang, snsd, etc.) i would strongly suggest you get these, like everyone else in the thread. Makes songs like Genie, Hoot, Run devil Run, Haru Haru, and so forth sound really good. Just My opinion. They do have a "burn-in" thing, where at first, the...- JacobTerrado

The spring isn't essential. It's just some add on. I doubt the M50 cable would break. It's thick and pretty beefy- JacobTerrado
