The Shure 840 ain't that bad. For bass tracks that is. However, I find it a tad uncomfortable, almost as much as the DJ750s.   I'm an all-rounder like you with the exception that I listen to bossa nova, etc, I find that it's only suitable for gorillaz (stylo's a good track), linkin' park...
