Official X3 1st gen firmware thread--3.34beta: removed 5800 song limit, play through folders--Happy Chinese New Year!
It´s just because of customizing, don´t want to hassle 2 times. If there will be no final, I´ll go with the beta, it´s ok - but a few days after modding the beta, I would be pretty upset BTW - I don´t expect a final seriously, due to their flood of new player, the old x3 may always be the... -
Official X3 1st gen firmware thread--3.34beta: removed 5800 song limit, play through folders--Happy Chinese New Year!
@Joe Bloggs does it make sense keep waiting on a final 3,34? -
Official X3 1st gen firmware thread--3.34beta: removed 5800 song limit, play through folders--Happy Chinese New Year!
I really wish e17 and X3 would sound equal - will be much more convenient than this bulky brick and 2 devices charging. But the difference is very evident, and I`m not sensitive in these things, never hear variations between firmwares or burned-in headphones vs. brand new. But technically... -
Official X3 1st gen firmware thread--3.34beta: removed 5800 song limit, play through folders--Happy Chinese New Year!
well, regarding the release of the 3,34b I refered to the 1st post of this thread: "2014-02-11 Beta firmware version 3.34 for the X3 is now available!...." "unknown artist" depends on the way of using the player. Go to "play all" and you´ll see (I´m on 3,3) clearer sounds nice. Without... -
Official X3 1st gen firmware thread--3.34beta: removed 5800 song limit, play through folders--Happy Chinese New Year!
3.34 final/alpha/rc??? sorry if already anounced - too lazy to read all the previous pages, also too lazy to customize & flash the beta and 2 day later the final comes out. But the beta is out since nov. 2014 meanwhile.... (btw; is it still showing "unkown artist" in the play window... -
Brainwavz S5 IEM Headphones Review
+1 if they had more (better said "any") bass, the R3 would be really nice. great detail, clarity and resolution, despite design and fit when I got the advertisement for S5, I thought it´s probably the same tier, so not my cup of tea. I love the R1, also S5 and M4 from Brainwavz, but -tbh-...- AuxIn

Review of the Teclast X30SE MP3 player
hm, thanks for your impressions (was closed to buy) would be helpful to know the version of FW you´re talking about. other open questions; some sites say sd-card is supported up to 16Gb, other 32 (maybe depend on firmware?) does the player scan the whole content after every boot...- AuxIn

The Fiio X3 Thread.
regarding the fw-backgound (for no cover) you should be fine with 240x296 however, I wonder what the beta-testers did all the time and versions. Except the freezing-issue in 2.14b, I see no difference ... not even the bad translation was improved- AuxIn

I hope, I can downgrade to 2.1 again, in case I dislike the new fw as much as 2.14b ? ;)- AuxIn

the only crashes I ever had were on 2.14b (nearly every 2-3 songs it freezes at the end of title) flawless usage on 2.1 .... never any single issue, can´t comprehend all the complains here. Updating library with 64GB needs ages, at least 1/2hour or more, but works- AuxIn

Requesting your input on M3U playlist support for X3, X5
regarding all the wishes here (+ the time it will need to realize), I would be happy with a simple read/play m3u ability asap and if you can store/export the "favorites" later, I wouldn´t mind to rename them on pc/mac -

YES, limited library and no playlist support is soooo cool!!!- AuxIn

The Fiio X3 Thread.
Does X3 have this ability (or will get it with 2.16) ? That would be pretty wasome, although I guess X3 hardware/cpu couldn´t handle an usb-hd smooth or even acceptable. Plus the fact X3 reads fat32 only ?- AuxIn

modding; in the "now playing" window, would it be possible to display "artist - title" instead of "filename" by changing (which) ini-file ? (don´t think so, but who knows)- AuxIn

Why making it such complicated (at least for Joe B.)? Just post a download-link like on 2.14b- AuxIn

The Fiio X3 Thread.
well, I´m back on stable 2.1 had several crashes/freezes in only 1h with 2.14b (stop playing, black display, only way was restart by long press power button [sleeptimer+gapless off]) Albumcover lags about 2-3 sec after skipping to next song.(no issue, just mentioned it) And the UI doesn´t...- AuxIn

Is there a way to export the favorites from x3? Is it saved as a playlist/textfile somewhere? (would be nice to sort it out on the fiio, not on pc)- AuxIn

Campaign regarding X3 theme beautification
Great animations, but, i.e. the above; if I split it, I get about 50 single pictures....how does this work if original FW only has 10 - can you use as many as you want? -
Xears Thread (formerly TD III)
Hi, I don´t know the recommended headphones, but I have (and had) 7 different Xears from the upper price tag. And from these, I still enjoy MH700pro and XE200pro ....sometimes ;) but they´re both bass heavy. The XM100pro (mini rocket) are crystal clear, but nearly no bass at all (priced € 89...- AuxIn
