well i wonder what the variability is in these iem's, I bought some w4r from iheadphones in the uk. It came with the old style tip bundle so i was well pissed off that they were carrying such old stock. The phones sounded great though. I then found i could import them to the uk for £100 less so...

well admitedly i havent tried it yet, i am in the UK and we get about 2 days sun a year but i couldnt use the walkman in direct sunlight and my note is less bright than the walkman.  

i havent compared compared headphone socket to headphone socket yet, just got this yesterday. I got the note for the usb audio out. Using usb into ibasso d12 and some esw9's the sound is sublime. Different planet to the walkman imho. Of course its not a fair comparison that way. I dont know...

sadly even with the display settings set to maximum (adjust tone and auto off) i measure the brightness at just 250 cdm compared to my walkman z at 350 cdm. No chance of using in direct sunlight then.

for me id like some extra extension in deep bass but a little less of the mid bass slam. A touch more in the high end would be nice but overall i like the thickly sweet full bodied sound.
