I'm still a newbie to this stuff, but here goes.   I have a sound card (Asus STX) that has analog out through the line(RCA) and headphone(6.3mm) out. The RCA interconnect cable I own causes hum from the soundcard (line out) to my headphone amp. I was thinking, instead of buying a new RCA...

Still new to this, but I own HD650's and I've narrowed my choices down to these 2 amps. Which would go best with the senheisers?   Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to connect my Asus STX soundcard to my audioengine 2 speakers through the coaxial digital output. The STX box says a toslink adapter could also be used for better connectivity (I have no idea how that works). My main question is, are there Coaxial to RCA cables I can use for this...

I'm guessing I would use the RCA jacks on the soundcard, but where would I connect them on the stand alone amp? (non DAC)   I haven't decided on an amp yet, but I need to know what inputs to look for.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind of new to all this, lurked around a bit for two days and saw some decent suggestions, though many were outdated.   Apparently the STX has DAC, so I guess I could just connect the HD650 to a stand alone headphone amp that doesn't have DAC? Unless there's a reason why I should use an amp...

It'll be in a pc with a 650-watt power supply, but it will be sharing the load with a 9800GT video card.   Can I handle the STX, or should I upgrade?
