    xbox 360 headphones/set help

The footsteps in black ops almost made me return it...and it almost made me go back to getting commandoed and tubed in MW2....that's how bad it is.   On to the Dolby Headphone vs multiple drivers debate. I am a fan of DH.....it can't get any better in positioning for me, it is 100% accurate...

    A40 Gaming headphones

Wow am I glad you said that. I watched "The Book of Eli" on bluray...I didn't catch alot from the rear cues....it might be the way the movie's audio is, i don't really know. I'm going to try "300" tonight....I read it has great audio.

Quote: Actually....it takes a headphone that is terrible for gaming and makes it playable. It takes a headphone that is great for gaming and makes it a weapon. Gotta try it brotha.

Quote: I couldn't recommend the F1 for overall SQ.....I actually like my AD700 more for pure sound quality. It's what the F1 does with its soundstage/imaging/positioning that separates itself from the 700's and all the other headphones I tried.

Quote:   I'm not gonna lie, I was alittle shocked to read someone thought the mixamp isn't accurate enough for FPS. Like Envy said...you have to use a headphone that has good imaging and soundstage to take advantage of the mixamp. I'll give an example with 2 pairs of headphones I...

Best Gaming Headphones.... With Poll? BUDGET: £100-£250

Quote: Just like everything else in life, there comes a point where alot becomes too much. Things that didn't have alot of bass sounded pretty cool, but when something happened in a game where bass was everywhere, it got to be very fatiguing to have all that thumping in your head...

Quote: The only thing good about the 770 in my experience was the isolation, haha. Other than that....too much mud and bass....really took away from the immersion when all I heard was BOOM BOOM BOOM.

Quote: I can say that the bass of the 770pro80's was WAYYYY too strong. It drowned out alot of the other important sounds. It was also pretty muffled compared to my other headphones. I actually liked my bose headphones better for gaming. The 770's were better for single player games...

    I thought I knew what I wanted....until I came here. HELP! (Gaming)

Quote: I did LOVE the DT880 32's....their sound is top notch. What I noticed after having them longer is when the action picked up...I would get disoriented. Maybe this is what Envy was talking about. I could tell the difference from front to back, but things got shady when alot of sounds...

Quote: Yea, but I don't have either of those phones, so I couldn't recommend them. What I do know, is the F1's are BEASTLY, more than the AD700 and DT880. I have used all 3 of them, and have tested them all with many hours of gameplay. The way you can locate sound on the F1's is...

Quote: If you can find the F1 used....it's a no brainer...F1.  The AD900 doesn't have the positioning of the AD700, a couple people on here have said. Some people say the 700's soundstage is bigger than the 900's, or a more accurate one...can't remember. From what people have...

Should I Trade AKG K702 for Beyer 880?

The AD700 is the KING of gaming just because of the price. It does everything right, the only thing wrong with the 700's has nothing to do with its sound, but its comfort. They fit very loose, so it causes some people problems with them falling off. The current price of the F1 might be out of...

Quote:   Could it be that the 701's actually do have an artificial soundstage and your mind has to get used to it? When switching from the DT880/AD700 to the F1, I noticed a significant improvement in positioning and soundstage. My mind didn't need to adjust at all. This headphone...

The F1's are bad with music. DT880(32 ohm) for music and/or 3rd person games K701/F1 for competitive online FPS.... you cant go wrong with either of these 2. but you NEED better amplification for the K701

maltar7, You also have to take into consideration, the K701's are kinda hard to drive. The majority of people I see that have the K701's say it's soundstage is too artificial, or almost too big that they get lost in it. But, take that with a grain of salt because I haven't used them.   I...

If you mean how fun they are....you can definitely get better headphones. If you want to feel the explosions and gunfire, any closed can would be better. I bring out my bose phones for when I want to enjoy explosions. (but the bose suck, haha)

Describing a soundstage isn't one of my strong points when talking about headphones. I just go by what I hear, and the F1's are at the top for letting me know what is around me. KBI has said that it has one of the best soundstages until you spend into the thousands.
