Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD
Isn't the API for general media/music interface universal? I.e. Controls for play/pause, previous/next track and vol up/down (understandably playlist navigation etc might not be doable due to uniqueness but standard media controls should be able to be implemented).- Ahil

PSA: 2 Pin Connected Earphones (Westone/JH/UE etc)- Double Check Your Cable Polarity!
I have been running my Westone 4R's with the polarity reversed (for an embarrassingly long time) due to an error in the cable manufacturing of a replacement cable. I found this out whilst doing a polarity check: http://www.audiocheck.net/audiotests_polaritycheck.php To correct for this, you...- Ahil

With the new firmware is it possible to control Android apps such as Spotify remotely via Bluetooth? If not, are there plans to implement this in the upcoming updates?- Ahil

New Head-Fi Update
Precisely. It's like they've gone for the generic dumb-it-down to appeal to the masses route akin to windows 10 vs windows 7. This new site really is utter garbage (to put it nicely). Seems to be a "one step forward, two steps backwards and blow brains out with a shotgun" as the saying goes..- Ahil

New Head-Fi Update
Please implement a useable Search function specific to both threads and categories. Ironically i couldnt even search this thread to find if someone has posted this suggestion before.... go figure. Really struggling to see the benefits of this new layout over the older established one...- Ahil

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
New headband cover, ear-pads and trimmed down the hardened cable. Haven't done the dampening mods just yet, want to get my ears used to the sound with the new pads first. Initial impressions are that the sound signature has reverted back to its classic T1 sound. The harshness is gone and...- Ahil

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
I did consider a recable but I don't see the need as once you pass a certain threshold in quality, there wont be a difference in audio signal (which I'm sure the OEM one's satisfy). The stock cable should last me another 5 years easily as it was only the 30cm of cable near the cans that have...- Ahil

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
My T1 [#1376] started to sound relatively harsh and sibilant over the past 3 months or so and my ears start to fatigue after barely an hour =[ Which is really disappointing since the reason I loved them so much is because they were the most lush sounding headphones I've ever listened to and I...- Ahil

Haha, cheers guys! It's a leather + suede MR2 seat that i picked up for $100. Cleaned it up and converted it to an office chair. Fully adjustable and more comfortable than all the sub $1K office chairs.- Ahil

Quote: x2.. atm i'm 3.2Ghz p4 running @ 3.8Ghz. I'll be waiting for quite a while longer before upgrading/investing in a EVGA Classified SR-2 (or similar) rig, which will give me a good 10 years easy (20 with some serious OC'ing)- Ahil

Thanks! I bought it from Officeworks. Initially i thought all the pedestals were a bit too much, but as time passed and more gear was added to the rig, turned out to be surprisingly useful.- Ahil

Thanks! The tsunami dream is a great case. I've had that tower for about 6 yrs. All the internals are essentially the same as when i first bought the pc (P4 rig with same CPU, GPU & RAM, just overclocked as much as possible on stock cooling, lol). I have only replaced/upgraded components which...- Ahil

Beyerdynamic to launch new top headphone at IFA -- called T1
