USB cellphone speakers for vacacional renting house

Hi, I want to renew the old mini stereo from a house I rent by days for tourists and I thought thst just providing usb speakers for the guests' cellphones would be a better idea. My problem is that most things I find feel a little gimmicky or designed for a different purpose (portability), so I...

Need help deciding between a few offers (portable headphones/earbuds)

    Hi, I'm looking for headphones under 100€ for portable use, I've found a few offers and can't really decide what to choose:   Superlux HD-668 B for 29€                     (46,30 % discount) Audio-Technica ATH-M40X for 92€           (28,68 % discount) Sony MDR-7506 for 98€                    ...

    Beyerdynamic DT 150: Bloody Brilliant!

Would you be so kind as to make a comparison between them and the HD800, given that you own both? (Also, could you give us some details about what are you using to drive them?)   Cheers =)

What was your first headphone purchase after coming to Head-Fi?

Creative Aurvana Live, after judging the Beyerdynamic DT150 (plus the equipment required to properly drive them) too expensive.   Still got them today and I still feel like I don't need a change, although I guess I'll get the Beyers eventually.

That's a pretty big statement for someone who does not want to influence other's decission making =)   You make me want to buy them right now ^^

New Audio Technica Woodies: ATH-W1000Z announced

So, guessing onnly by the price and the lack of hype, I guess these are not the "King" everyone was talking about in the Z7 thread, right?

    Beyerdynamic DT 150: Bloody Brilliant!

The 990s are actually cheaper here, which is funny because when I first started getting into headphones they were quite more expensive.

    Beyerdynamic DT 150: Bloody Brilliant!

I don't really need portability, I always use my headphones in front of my desktop, so if i can spend the same money trading a lack of portability for better quality, that would be perfect =)   A Fiio 18 costs around 160€, would you still recommend that model around that price range or is...

    Beyerdynamic DT 150: Bloody Brilliant!

Well, right now my only source is the onboard sound out of my Asus P8Z68 V Pro motherboard, If i knew thats enough, I would just get the next discounted DT150 I see, but I have my doubts =)   My CALs certainly sound great out of the mobo (it's a more than decent mobo), but then again, the...

    Beyerdynamic DT 150: Bloody Brilliant!

Ok, so we are speaking about something around 900/1100 USD (around 700/900€) for the whole headphone+amp+dac home setup. (I'm guessing we are speaking about a AudioGd NFB10.32 dac/amp and a Darkvoice 336SE tube amp)   Just wanted to get an idea of how much would take me to get a pair  of...

    Beyerdynamic DT 150: Bloody Brilliant!

I've done my headphone research, now i have to find a dac/amp (and the money to buy it) ^^    I'm also under the impression that the leash will cost 4 times more than the dog :P       Do you use the same amp all the time or do you swap it depending on the task? If you have a favourite...

    Beyerdynamic DT 150: Bloody Brilliant!

Well, thing is i'd also need to save for a dac/amp and that it is more a whim than a need, since my CALs, thrashed as they are, still work and sound perfectly fine.   Also, for me this would be a blind purchase and I don't know if they will sound as better than my CALs as to justify the...

    gaming headphones recommendations please?

Well   Well, that pretty much depends on him caring more about immersion or pure competitive performance. Given that he asked for movies too, i'm going for immersion.     Since I joined the the forums some 4 years ago (asking for pretty much the same thing) I've been consistently...

    Beyerdynamic DT 150: Bloody Brilliant!

I have to be the unluckiest person with eBay. These days for instance I'm looking for pc monitors and a cellphone and I'm actually finding that even the used stuff is more expensive than new products with warranty in normal retailers ¬¬     The cheapest DT150 there is costs 113,62€ (89,51...

$1000 headphones really worth all that money?

It doesn't.   A normal bubble gum is not worth 2000$ independently of how much money you have.           The question might be... how much does it cost to produce a pair of 1000$ headphones? (materials, employees wages, sellers share, shipments, etc). Because I highly doubt it would even...

    Beyerdynamic DT150 parts

My -uninformed- guess is that in case you manage to find the part, it will be so expensive that you might want to consider into directly buying a new pair. That is if you don't find a particular guy who has also broken his and wants to sell the parts (or just the discounted whole).     Just...

The best headphones that give you a real fun experience when listening to music...

That's my point. I am moved emotionally listening to e.g. Chopin with my cheap-ass CALs plugged in my cheap-ass laptop (and even more in my not so cheap-ass desktop). I would be even more moved if my headphones could reproduce the sound of a piano perfectly, even if it was under a specific...

The best headphones that give you a real fun experience when listening to music...

As far as i'm concerned the acoustic differences of different venues can be adjusted digitally through equalization.   When you pluck a double bass string, it will vibrate strongly no matter where you play it, it will be bassy and move a lot of air. It's the kind of thing you can feel in...

The best headphones that give you a real fun experience when listening to music...

I really still don't get the whole "sound signature thing". For me this whole "fun" vs "analytical" vs whatever thing just looks like a commercial gimmick to either hide uncapable technology or just sell more headphones to collectors.     I doubt that when Chopin was composing a song he was...

    Sony's new flagship 2014 - MDR-Z7

I think I'm going to jump out of this hype train. Will check back in a few months.     And back to wanting a pair of DT150 that will prove a much cheaper expense in case they end up disappointing (and will likely get a lot more expensive when I end up buying a dac/amp 6 times the price of the...
