Can I remove the "profesional" label from the Sony MDR7506's?

Looks like a sticker to me mate on mine. I am guessing you mean on the cups themselves?

Which headphone is 1 rung above the MDR 7506's?

What are you looking for in a headphone? Does it have to be closed etc.? Have you heard the Sony MDR-7506's?

Why do the 'pro-cable' side refuse to accept the science and do blind tests?

So what part of a cable gives you a bigger Sound-stage then? The differences in cables CAN be measured. Although you cant hide away from the fact that no measurements have ever shown differences that appear in the audible spectrum. That is what is important. Someone please prove me wrong. If I...

What do you guys listen to?

Spotify really makes you appreciate other styles of music. I will listen to pretty much anything. Most of the time depending on my mood. For me music is all about having songs to suite your mood and your feelings. Instant highs through music is such a great thing. If only more kids could find...

Why do the 'pro-cable' side refuse to accept the science and do blind tests?

Let me also jump in again. I would love to be able to buy an "upgrade" cable that would improve the sound of my headphone, who wouldn't? The problem for us non believers is NOT that we can't afford the cables. I can't stand the ridiculous argument on this thread that goes something like this...

HD600 Love! HD650's get your own thread!

I am now part of the Sennheiser HD600 Crowd. I am suprised by many things on these headphones. Have only given them an hour of use so far so will not comment to heavily. Just impressed so far. :D Happy Days

Need to find a good set of Monitoring Cans

Quote: Nope not at all. The Sony MDR-7506 are the most comfortable pair I own. No problems there for me anyway. Weird how some cans can be super comfy for some people and not for others.

What's your view on custom headphone cables?

Beeman please state these bad ideas you are talking about. Let me guess Flawed testing etc. I don't understand where you get the "flawed" or designed for "fail" arguments from.  Quote:

Need to find a good set of Monitoring Cans

As far as cheaper the better goes how about the MB Quart QP 805 HS   As far as the Shure SRH-840 goes, I just don't go much on the comfort level, I find them to be heavy and press down on the top of my head rather painfully which leads to a headache after 5 minutes of use. Some people don't...

Any MB Quart QP 805 HS Bass Mods?

Mine are the 100 Ohm version and i have several solid state amps that can drive them but they are always a bit bass shy for my liking.

Any MB Quart QP 805 HS Bass Mods?

Im quite impressed with the sound of the MB Quart QP 805 HS for the £20 that i paid for them. What a bargain.    Does anyone know of any Mods to improve the bass? It just doesn't go quite low enough for my liking.

What's your view on custom headphone cables?

Quote: Beeman458   Charming. Once again you are the one who is correct. Try having a conversation yourself rather than stating the same thing over and over again.   As far as the argument over voice coils go this can be extended to that "High Grade" solder they use in all your...

    Headphones and Amplification

bit of a bump for you. Any other suggestions other than mine guys? I haven't heard the XB500 or the XB700 myself so someone Else's opinion would be more meaningful.

What's your view on custom headphone cables?

Im still waiting for someone to back up Beeman458 while he is having to defend his comments. The pure fact alone that this guy is getting questioned but not backed up surely should mean something.    As far as the argument goes there is not much more that can be said. Beeman458 please...

    Headphones and Amplification

just out of interest in your list do you mean the Sony MDR-XB500? if so why not the MDR-XB700? These would be your best bet for Bass, they are also still in your price range.

    Headphones and Amplification

Sony MDR-V6. No amp required and IMO unmatchable for the price.   Plenty of detail in the high frequency and plenty of punch in the bass. For the money they are certainly worth a try.   What music do you listen to?

What's your view on custom headphone cables?

Or in your case, 'If i can hear it then it must be true and everybody can hear it'. You should give up on these insane comments. us non cable believers are talking from previous experience and in many cases ACTUALLY TESTING cables. I am more inclined to take Uncle Erik's side to things. After...

    Grados in public....

For people who know what Grado are, they would be rather cool. The majority of people would probably look at you rather strange as you walk by.    I think the wood Grados would be the worst, i can so NO cool factor with wearing these out in public. the 325is on the other hand, they would...

A good pair of cans for a beginner

Grado SR-125i were my first 'audiophile' headphones. They sounded great with the sort of music you like. I only sold them due to the issue of comfort. It seems though that you either find them comfortable or not. Try them out. You may have found the headphone for you. Don't let money be an issue...

    Need help chosing a headphone

Have you head the Sony MDR-V6's? If you like the Sony sound that is. I love these headphones. I find they are superb with Rock/Pop music. Bear in mind these are very detailed in the top end with plenty of punch in the low end aswell.
