also, what about the px100? how do you think it compares to the hd 228's? I heard a px 100 today and i thought it sounded excellent (loved the bass one it), but I can't find it anywhere fore $35 (the price listed as street price in your review). It is $70 on amazon vs. $30 for the hd 218...

Audio Technica ATH-FC700A or Sennheiser HD 218?

Quote: the Meelec HT-21 looks a pretty good buy for me, they seem to be bassy, and they look really stylish! If the "sometime before xmas" release date is true, i wont mind waiting on them, so i guess i'll pull the trigger on those as soon as they come out.   Also, beside the...

Audio Technica ATH-FC700A or Sennheiser HD 218?

Why do you think the HD 218/228 is useless on public transport? Do they not isolate well enough? What about JVC flats btw? do they have a dark sound? I will consider the HA-S700

sony mdr v-6 earcups... comfort issues?

Quote: Ok, I will try these pads. However, it seems to be the black cloth material on the inside of the cups that are bothering, not the cups themselves. Are these cups thicker than the stock ones, so as to make the cups fit all the way over my ears without touching?

sony mdr v-6 earcups... comfort issues?

Hi, I've had my v6 for a while, and i'm very satisfied with its performance. however, i've been having some comfort issues with my ear cartilige pressing against the cloth material in the earpads. Good headphones for non-audiophile?

i listen to rock/mainstream mainly. my budget is around the ~120$ range, but im in canada so everything is around 25% more expensive. I'm not gonna be listening to FLAC files or anything, just general computer use, but I want something better than crappy $20 headphones.

    Good headphones for non-audiophile?

Hi, I'm looking for some durable, decent sounding headphones at the lowest possible price. I'm fedup of stupid skullcandy earbuds breaking every 3 months, so I want something that will last.
