I'm using the HDP as a Pre-Amp, not a Power Amp.

Yeah, I just ended up hooking an HDP up to it.  Made life a little easier for switching between inputs.

Budget - Less than 500   Setup - Generic living room setup.  Probably like... 40% music, 40% movies, 20% games.   Rating - 100w per channel at 8 ohms I believe (speakers at 8 ohms)   Source - I'm actually looking at having it fed by a DAC at the moment, but would be open to an all in one...

I really liked the NuForce HDP with my Denons.

If price isn't a large issue, the Lyr and the Bifrost with the LCD-2 is the best combination I've ever heard.  Otherwise I've also heard it with the NuForce HDP and I really enjoyed it as well.
