    Mapletree Ear+ HD Super II

I was considering getting the Super II but I chose to just get the Ear+ HD with the Black Gate upgrade. I am still new to this so I really don't understand what you get by separating the power supply with the Super II. I would love if someone could explain what the benefit is.

Matrix M-Stage amp review: simple, cheap, and excellent.

Quote: No the volume is about 2-3 o'clock compared to the Woo at 10 for normal listening. It's not a huge deal I just like the Woo more with the DT880. I just sold it though and ordered a MAD Ear+ HD so for now the Matrix is my only amp. I like the Matrix and will definitely be...

    Grado RS1i Impressions thread

I just want to update and say I love these phones now. I am actually using them with my Woo WA3+ now and it sounds a lot better than the Matrix. In fact I am now selling the WA3+ to get a MAD Ear + HD or Super II. Most likely the HD.    I am going through all my rock/metal/acoustic albums...

Matrix M-Stage amp review: simple, cheap, and excellent.

Just wanted to post some impressions on use of this amp with Beyer DT 800/600 and Grado RS1i. Just quickly on the Beyer you definitely need the 20 gain setting on and even then it's not as loud as my WA3+. As far as the RS1i to me the highs are just too shrill. I have to adjust my volume...

Looking at buying Woo WA6-SE or Mapletree Audio MAD+ Ear HD

I pretty much decided to go with a MAD amp. I just need to wait for my Woo WA3+ to sell on here to use as a down payment. I can't find many impressions on the Super II just a few posts but all seem to be positive. My only concern is if it would work as well as the Ear + HD with the RS1i.  ...

Looking at buying Woo WA6-SE or Mapletree Audio MAD+ Ear HD

Quote: That makes sense. I guess my question should be is it a good idea to get the separate power supply. If so then the comparison should be the WA6SE vs the MAD Ear+ HD Super II. If no power supply then the WA6 vs Ear+ HD.

Looking at buying Woo WA6-SE or Mapletree Audio MAD+ Ear HD

I've been researching this one a lot and have narrowed down amp choices to these two. I currently own a WA3+ and love it. I think it even sounds good with my lower impedance headphones like the RS1i and 750DJ. On the other hand the MAD Ear+ gets a lot of positive feedback and are said to be a...

    Grado RS1i Impressions thread

Ok the RS1i is definitely growing on me. I did a lot of A/B comparisons with my other cans and it helped me appreciate what I am hearing with the Grados. Now I am looking at selling my Woo and trying the MAD Ear+HD. I think I am developing an addiction ;)

    Grado RS1i Impressions thread

Does anyone EQ their RS1i? I found that putting it on the "Rock" setting in iTunes made the sound better to my ears. I also changed the gain on my Matrix amp from 10db back to 0 and that has seemed to help.

    Grado RS1i Impressions thread

Quote: Thanks. These look like the pads that come stock with the RS1i. If that is the case I already have them. Mine were sold with both the stock and flat pads.

    Grado RS1i Impressions thread

Quote: No I haven't heard any other Grados before. I figured I would just pick up a used pair and if I don't like it sell them. I notice some tracks sound a lot better than others. My unplugged Alice in chains and Nirvana is good. AC/DC is sounding better. An old Motley Crue cd I have...

    Grado RS1i Impressions thread

I just received the RS1i I bought from a member here and I am not quite sure what to think. I am listening to  lossless metal/rock with a DacMagic. For an amp I have a Matrix M Stage SS amp and also a Woo Audio 3+. I tried both amps and the sound to me is very, very congested and the vocals are...

What's Currently the Best Cans and Earbuds for Rap/Hip Hop under $200?

I will recommend the Shure SRH750DJ. I really love these cans and feel they sound a lot better than the M50. I like the tighter bass of the 750 DJ and even with bass boost there is no distortion. Comfort can be an issue but I had no problems and my head is huge.

Matrix M-Stage amp review: simple, cheap, and excellent.

I just wanted to say I got the new M Stage today and so far it sounds great. All my HP's sound great even the DT880 600 Ohm. Although I prefer the sound I get with my tube amp with the DT880 but that isn't shocking as the Beyers pair well with tubes. I got great service from Jeffrey and the amp...

    Monster Beat headphones

You know I have the Beats and even thought they are not my favorite and I have talked bad about them I still use them every time with my iPhone. You can't beat having the iPod Control and mic right there for you. Honestly they are not the worst sounding things out there. Maybe it's just cause...

    New headphone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would also say the M50. Let them burn in for about 50 hours and they sound even better. Really for trying to stay under $100 I don't see a better option.

Differences between Beyerdynamic dt770 and dt770 pro models

Pro model, esp the 80 Ohm version, are bass cannons. I personally don't like them that much for music anymore but I use them for gaming with an Astro Mixamp. For gaming I love them and is the reason I keep them around.

Matrix M-Stage amp review: simple, cheap, and excellent.

So is it normal to hear nothing from coolfungadget for two days after payment has cleared? Does he supply tracking numbers?

Forgot to ask when you say a week I assume that is the time that it arrives and not when it actually ships.   Quote:

Matrix M-Stage amp review: simple, cheap, and excellent.

At first I didn't like them but after some burn in they have grown on me and they are getting more head time. I can see why so many people like them. I ordered the Shure 750 DJ's to see if I like that sound better for hip-hop, etc. Whichever one I choose the other will be going up for sale here...

Matrix M-Stage amp review: simple, cheap, and excellent.

I ordered the M stage from coolfungadget a little over a day ago. Haven't heard anything yet. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to ship? Also how does this amp sound with the Grado RS1i and DacMagic?

Getting close to pulling the trigger on new closed cans for hip-hop / pop music need 1 final vote!

I have been doing a lot of research on here and pm'ing a lot of users on their experiences. I am looking for a good set of closed headphones for hip-hop/rap. If they happen to work well with other types like rock even better but not necessary as I love my 880/600 for that. As far as amps go I am...

    New headphone suggestions.

I'm actually looking for a new closed headphone for hip-hop/rap. I have the M50 now and it is a good phone but I keep feeling it lacks something. I dunno. I have looked at the D2000 and even the LA 2000 Lite shane55 is selling. Would the Ultrasones be better for hip-hop?
