iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.

The preliminary specifications for the DX100 listed 32GB internal storage, but that was later updated to 64GB. My DX100 showed 64GB internal storage. Keep in mind that the internal storage of the DX100 is listed under "SDcard" in the root folder which is rather confusing, as one would think...

iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.

Website, inter alia   - 64G Onboard Flash - Support up to 32G External MicroSD   as per the website, which leaves a clear impression that irrespective of the external storage, there is 64gb.   It is extremely odd that iBasso are communicating this information yet leaving the website...

32gb onboard storage? That isn't what I'm buying. Perhaps those who have already received theirs (batch 2) can confirm what their devices can hold. Rather more important than a case, perhaps?

Just to keep you up to date.   I was informed by iBasso last week that my order would be dispatched on either 20th or 21st March (my Paypal receipt is 13th February).   Today, after a request for an update, I received the following:      Hi, Thank you ofr your email. There are...

Quote: I agree, but in 99.99% of cases people aren't playing a 24/192 ALAC file. Many who are looking at this thread will have an iPod of some description perhaps played through CLAS, and they may conclude that Apple lossless (invariably used by those with Apple devices) and which...

From Sorensiim 'Lossless files should, per definition, be lossless so no audible differences at all...'   So are you saying that Apple lossless should have as much perceivable detail as 24/192 FLAC?

iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.

I have read of some that swear that Flac is better than Apple but I can't hear the difference on lossless. I think the difference is the bit information is more restricted in Apple lossless. Now whether you can actually hear the difference in a large FLAC file is open to debate, some saying it...

'Right, while I've discovered empirically that the DX100 on its own is the best bet, everyone is going to have to see on their own that the DX100 doesn't benefit from any extra gear clinging to it...hence the cables...'   So during your empirical analysis, how did you find the DX100 compared...

    iBasso DX100 Reference DAP - ES9018 inside

Presumably, that argument would apply to any external amp whether fed by analogue or digitally.

    iBasso DX100 Reference DAP - ES9018 inside

'To feed an external amp you use the analog line out'   Is it not the case that if you intend to use the DX100 to feed the JH-3A, you would use a mini to mini coax link?

iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.

It was clear that fenom60 was referring to information received from iBasso, and so the reference to inaccuracy was to the information they had provided. Technically, of course you are correct there may be a halfway house, in which case it is for iBasso to clarify the position. Why can they...

Hi I've just tried to order the DX100 and pulled the plug when it came up as showing that delivery to the UK was over $12,000! (presumably by private jet). I've asked them to clarify. Anyone else had this experience? Also, assuming this issue can be resolved, can someone confirm that the...

iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.

I have classic/CLAS as well as HM801, to use with JH3A. I am interested in the DX100 as it seems to have the best of both worlds, digital output of high bit res music. I am, however, a little confused (no doubt due to my ignorance of such matters). I have seen reference to use of JH3A...

Quote: I've tried a sample on a 24/96 file and it converted to a .m4a file (twice the size of the FLAC). Obviously I cant play it as I don't have the equipment, but it seems to have worked.

Thanks for the prompt reply. My limited understanding is that the software won't degrade lossless to lossless but, I would imagine it can only transcribe to the best resolution that is available within the format. I might find the answer to the point you've raised in the help files.

Cypher Labs AlgoRhythm Solo - Discussion and Impressions Thread

Hi Please excuse my ignorance, but I'm considering the purchase of the Algorythm solo and an iPod to use with my JH-3A (when it is received). All my music is recorded in FLAC for use with my HiFiMan801/SR71B/JH13/HD800. Whilst I enjoy the sound from the HM801 the constant changing of SD...

    NEW information on JH-3a

Quote:   I've just spoken to Jerry who has taken time out of his busy schedule to explain some things to me.   He confirmed, for those of us in U.K. that our USB wall chargers e.g. iPad, in my case, will work perfectly well in charging the unit.   He also confirmed that the unit...
