Shure SE315
I guess what I'm trying to ask is, are the SE315s any good... I realize that it's a very general question since "good" could mean anything from comfort to appearance, but the ATH-M50 is the only reference I have. I'm still new to the head-fi environment, feeling my way around. I've always...- WhitePanda

Shure SE315
Compared to the Audio Technica ATH-M50, how much bass does the SE315 have? Would I be satisfied you think? I realize you're comparing full sized cans to an IEM, but I'd still like to know. Thanks- WhitePanda

Audio Technica ATH-M50s
If anyone wants more punch out of the M50, I found putting the EQ to "Dance" did the trick quite well. Adds the extra bass without messing with anything else. I find "Bass Booster" to hush the treble so much that it's hard to hear the lyrics.- WhitePanda

Audio Technica ATH-M50s
After a couple hours of burning these in, there is a noticeable improvement in the mids and highs. The lows still need a little more work, but I'm sure a few more hours will fix that. @HariBhushan if you want good bass response, the M50 is a good choice. Probably not the best bass response...- WhitePanda

Audio Technica ATH-M50s
I just got my M50s this morning, and have been burning them in. They don't sound as bad as people have been reporting out of the box, but definitely not as good as reported after hours of burn in. But sadly, the place I ordered from mistakenly gave me the coiled version instead of the straight...- WhitePanda

Audio Technica ATH-M50s
gah.... I've been reading up on some other M50 buyers and it seems my previously thought to be good deal at $108 (shipped) isn't as good a deal as i thought. For anyone else that's been thinking of buying these, go to...- WhitePanda

Audio Technica ATH-M50s
The best set of earphones I currently have are the JVC Marshmallows, so I don't think I'll be having any problems with the M50s being out-shined by anything.- WhitePanda

Buy an M6 get an M9 or M9P free!
Bass response for either the M6 or M9 in comparison to the JVC Marshmallows (FX-34)? And do you think these are worth getting even if I don't "need" new headphones just because of the deal?- WhitePanda

So This is Where All the Money Went...
I guess I just got a little excited by Earphone Solutions' review of them. But they do seem to have a bias towards Westones in their reviews. Maybe I should get them and do a review...?- WhitePanda

So This is Where All the Money Went...
The 150 would be in USD. Sorry, should have been clear with that. And regarding microphonics, I'm not looking for COMPLETE silence, just reduced microphonics for everyday walking, light jogging, etc. I've heard some good reviews for the Hippo VB but the shape of the IEMs seems to encourage...- WhitePanda

So This is Where All the Money Went...
Dear Forum, I'm looking for a new pair of IEMs and the Westone 1's comfort/value for money seems tempting. I just wanted to hear some feedback from the experts on any competitors that might be better than the Westones. I'm setting the price limit at 150, since that's just about what the Westone...- WhitePanda
