Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)

The CC51? I'm still trying to figure out who MEE's supplier was for that earphone. That was a brilliant piece!

Isn't Aigo also the company behind the Eros brand?

Seiun player, $150 player with monster spec. Too good to be true?

IIRC, the Pro/Pro X use the Sabre's integrated amp section instead of a dedicated amp circuit. I believe output wasn't the highest either, but regular IEMs shouldn't be a problem.

    XDuoo XD-05 Portable Dac/Amp Introduction - Impressions

The XD-05 has no problem whatsoever driving the Fostex T50RP with authority. Listening to the setup as I type. I'm on low gain and have the pot at about 12 o' clock, which is totally sufficent. Really nice, layered bass, details in abundance, clear vocals. I'm really digging the combination...

    XDuoo XD-05 Portable Dac/Amp Introduction - Impressions

I'll try my T50RPs later tonight, if I get a chance.   It does sound nice, is fairly resolving and bass through my Denon 1100 was really deep and punchy. Feature set is amazing too. BUT I wouldn't call it endgame. There's too much hiss for low-impedance-/high-sensitivity headphones and the...

Here's a setup you probably don't see too often on head-fi:   Tidal Hifi @ Meizu MX4 Pro -> Xduoo XD-05 -> Teufel Mute ANC headphones     DISCLAIMER: I work at Teufel, so I might be a little biased.

Can I control the PAW 5000 via a headphone's cable remote? That would be mighty convenient for sports.

    XDuoo XD-05 Portable Dac/Amp Introduction - Impressions

First impressions show that the XD-05 is certainly not build for sensitive IEMs. I can turn the pot to about 12 o' clock before it gets too loud with the likes of a CE5P or Brainwavz M5/M4. Also, there's quite a bit of background noise. Then again, it is equipped with a 1/4" (6,3 mm)...

Seiun player, $150 player with monster spec. Too good to be true?

Well, they have released their schedule, which stated end of January for the Seiun players and March for Pro/Pro X. It seems like the Seiuns will be shipped in the next few days. Why re-confirm what they had stated to begin with? I'd rather have them use all their resources to get the product...

My apologies, still haven't had time to properly play with it. 'Tis the season for the kids to be ill, they've been keeping me busy. :)

Seiun player, $150 player with monster spec. Too good to be true?

Why are people so nervous about Seiun not communicating like they used to? Isn't that how crowdfunding works? They had to promote their product as best they could during the fundraising campaign and now they're concentrating their resources on creating the actual product. I, for one, am...

Nevermind, I figured it out! Had to set the active input to USB before it would install the XMOS drivers. On to testing! :)

"HP" as in "headphone"? :) Was gonna try my AKG340 last night, just out of convenience, because it has a 1/4" plug. But I couldn't install the XMOS driver on my 64-bit Win10 computer. Any suggestions?

Any information about output impedance? I'll be getting my XD-05 in approx. two weeks. Would be nice if I could use them with my CIEMs.

    XDuoo XD-05 Portable Dac/Amp Introduction - Impressions

Yay, that means I can use my Fostex T50RP in a portable setup. Not-so-yay: I need a 6.3-to-3.5 for everything else.

Is that a 1/4" or a 1/8" headphone jack on the XD-05? It looks huge in the pictures.

    Obscure Chinese DAPs

I believe that product category has all but ceased to exist. Dealextreme still has a few devices, but that's nothing compared to the plethora of 5" and 6" options a few years ago. My first such device was actually a 4.3" from Nationite/MP4Nation.

Onn has been around for a few years, building tablets and "MP4 players" aka portable video players with built-in screens.

What's with all the Little Bear devices I've been seeing recently? The portable tube amp looks interesting, is it worth it?
