i did some googling and people didn't seem to have any major problems with the build quality so far. but like i said.. if you suddenly get caught on something and the cable brakes you're screwed. =/ how is the customer service of westone? will they sent you a replacement like shure does?

if you're really picky i would say go for the pros. if not i think the turbines do a good job. my turbines are sititng in the box. using the lil jamz in school and coppers at home.
