What attenuator is used in the Rudistor RP010B?

I'm not 100% sure but I think that it is RK27 and the last one I've seen it was motorized like the photo above... without remote control :)

    HiFiMAN HE-500 Loaner Program [EU-Version]

The setup is on my signature + Cardas Neutral Reference xlr interconnects and home assembled power cords with Furutech cable. The construction The box is better than the  one used with the HE5-LE, the headband now is more soft and padded while the pads seem to be the same.  This...

    HiFiMAN HE-500 Loaner Program [EU-Version]

Is included a 4 pin balanced cable (from he5-le or he6) for this test?   I'd like to listen this headphone at the full potential from my amp (in SE only half amp is used)

The List: Balanced amps under $1,000 (aka Amps NOT to buy)

Hello, I can add to the list my current amp Audio-gd Roc Sa (but I think this is now discontinued) and the Cec hd53n.   http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/Headphoneamp/ROCSA/ROCSAEN.htm   My experience with this amp is very good. My source is a real balanced one (yamaha cd-s2000) as well.  ...

    REVIEW: Audio-GD Roc

I'm here ;)   For my experience the Roc Sa is a fantastic amp for the money. My source (yamaha cd-s2000, sacd player) provides 2v at Xlr outputs so the technical info about the power of this amp should be diminished. I think this is valid for the other Audio-gd amp as well.   My...

    Noise on Doge 6210

I forgot to mention that good shielded power cables and interconnects can help to reduce noise.   frank

    Noise on Doge 6210

Ask here http://tubedepot.com/  for the best low noise and no microphonic modern production 12ax7 and buy a matched and balanced pair with a couple of matched jj el84 or Reflektor 6p14p-ev.   Stay away from NOS tubes for the moment.   frank

    Noise on Doge 6210

Try different tubes (selected, matched, with low noise) because your headphone is high efficent.   Try your beyer with the audiotechnica, the total impedance will be around 300 ohm and if the noise is still here the impedance has nothing to do here.   Hope it helps   frank    ...

    Balanced SS amp for HD600, K701 & RS1, max. $800?

"too much power" translates to very few positions of volume regulation and for the Grado 10 watt seem a bit dangerous for the headphone. The non-SA ROC actually is a better choice with your headphones and still remains a powerful amp for "normal" power requirements. Ask for further info to...

    Balanced SS amp for HD600, K701 & RS1, max. $800?

Yes, the v100 is unbalanced and the xlr are for better and powerful input signal.   The Roc SA is maybe to much powerful for your phones and probably is designed to work with K1000 and HE6 better. The standard Roc is ok with your cans and for your future plans. The substitution of volume...

Just ordered Doge 6210 and keep my fingers crossed :)

I replaced all 4 tubes. Look at Reflektor 6p14p-EV for the El84 and Tungsol gold pin for the 12ax7 (Ecc83) or Sovtek 12ax7 LPS. These are good current production tubes and don't cost very much. Be sure  that the tubes are balanced  triode to triode, matched and low noise for the ecc83. For the...

yes, it's a tube amp, it's normal. Your headphones are easy to drive and not requires an external amp. If you upgrade your source and headphones the differences will become more evident.   Frank

Just ordered Doge 6210 and keep my fingers crossed :)

No heating problems here. The big problem of the previous version was the incompatibily with the old el84 tubes which is completely solved. If the bass isn't enough with this amp I recommend you an hd650.   frank

Just ordered Doge 6210 and keep my fingers crossed :)

Yes, it's about an upgrade. The chinese assembly is a little approssimative, but you can live happy...without upgraditis. It's a very good amp, you'll be satisfied with a simple tube roll. Frank
