i hope these have better quality joints between the earcups and headband. love the mobius but the cracks that very frequently happen at that joint suggests some kind of design issue.

bbr would probably be your best bet. have a good selection of the lower end all the way up to the flagship offerings from grado, denon, sennheiser, etc.

i'm in a similar situation myself looking for great gaming AND music audio. i've been entertaining the idea of getting the titanium hd for a while and then maybe adding an amp like a matrix m-stage later on. i also wanted to get a dac as well, but i don't really like the idea of switching inputs...

anyone ever hear these out of an hrt music streamer ii? heard lots of good things about the ii+, but seeing as it's twice the price it would be nice if i could settle for the ii.

depends what amp/dac you're using i guess. i could hear a difference between the two, definitely similar sounding headphones though. it may not be worth it to you to keep them, but to me i'd always regret it if i bought the d2000 after hearing its bigger brother. so yea, if you really can't tell...
