Feedback by 'jms91' on listing 'Burson Soloist 3x Performance'
Highly recommend! Despite some issues with the amp he was patient and understanding during the troubleshooting process. We ended up returning the goods, and he remained positive throughout the entire transaction. A pleasure to do business with!- jms91

I have for sale an excellent condition Burson Soloist 3x performance. I purchased on Head-Fi last February and have really enjoyed my time with this amp. Looking to scale down from a few headphones to acquire a Meze Elite. These were originally purchased directly from Audeze in late 2019 with myself being the third owner over the past year and half. I have not been able to appreciate these as much as I intended due to traveling out of country and...- jms91

Meze EMPYREAN - the First Isodynamic Hybrid Array Headphone
Interesting as I upgraded to the empyrean from an LCD-X. While I admit they didn't blow me away off first listen (best to limit expectations when spending 2-3x from previous headphone) I do believe they outshine the LCD-X in many ways. To my ears, the empyrean sounded so much more lifelike -...- jms91

Not in the picture no, but it's on the same display as yours now. Was excited to get it all set up! Amazing combo so far and very happy with improvement over running the Empyrean solely through RME.- jms91

Not quite.. The volume was set low on the RME otherwise my ears wouldn't forgive me. The Burson is a new addition and I'm still figuring out how to run them together best. Right now I'm running the Burson on the headphone power amp on Medium power so I control volume through RME solo now. Btw...- jms91

I am the original owner having purchased these in 12/2020. They have less than a 100 hours on them as I have not had much time for them since acquiring a Meze Empyrean. There are a few hairline marks on the metal grill, chassis, and also on one of the Dekoni pads. Just a few cosmetic blushes...- jms91

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
Trying to start at $1000 between amp/dac. The Emotiva A-100 looks promising and could be a great fit if I buy another pair of headphones. I've been out of the game for a bit so appreciate the help and any suggestions for the DT-1990.- jms91

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
With the 1990s? No amp/dac at the moment. Just straight out the Mac. I was using a Burson HA-160 with the LCD-2s and other gear in the past. Do you know if the Drop+THX AAA 789 would be a good fit to drive these?- jms91

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
I've been off this board for about 8 years after being pretty active here. I've owned the LCD-2 when they first came out, the HD-650, RS-1e, DT880 pro, AKG-702, list goes on. Life got in the way and I haven't had any real gear since. Well I got the itch again and after a bit of research bought a...- jms91

I currently use Bose QuietComfort Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones.
Most people tend to stay away from EQ especially when you're looking for a natural sound. Usually EQing works if your wanting to tweak the sound signature (more bass...)- jms91

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
Wow really? That's surprising since I actually preferred the Burson to the Concerto and Stagedac combo with a few pair of mid-fi cans mainly being the HD-650s. Although I never auditioned the LCD-2 with the Burson I would have thought that would be a great combo considering the reviews and how...- jms91

Schiit Lyr - The tube rolling thread
Sferic, Is the amp humming like some have been complaining about in the thread or is the tubes themselves that are producing the noise? I have a pair of Gold Lions and the amp itself just recently started humming like others have been describing. I still can't tell if its the amp or the tubes...- jms91
