FLAC for general purpose, this format have higher compatibility around devices, but if your devices are apple's family, then ALAC will suitable most. AIFF and WAV is uncompressed format, but I found these format to be 'space' hunger, meanwhile the same sound quality you can get at FLAC/ALAC...

Burn-in is real, my K702 sound much better after 1000+ hours of normal usage, I use my K702 normaly for average 5 hours a day, and it's been 9 month now, the sounds open up, tonality, bass, and everything else is just better. 

I prefer not to mod anything, and actually you can add headphone amps to improve the bass section. What DAC/amps do you use?

Hello TheDreamthinker, have you heard PS1Ke? I've heard GS1Ke in local audio store here, and agree they are worth, larger soundstage while still maintaining Grado's sound signature, the cushions are comfier too, but I'm curious about PS1Ke, how much the sound different with GS1Ke?

  Well, for me it doesn't matter whether it's German, US, UK, Japan, China, etc as long as it delivers and brings goodness for the people, as my sound system consist of those countries anyway
