Another one lives All in, probably about 6 hrs from start to finish including some testing time and hunting for the right sized allan key. Left channel sound slightly different to the right, not as much presence. It moves if I swap the tubes over too... Any ideas? Should have my shiny...- sam_cat

CMoy...now what?
Its not really suited as a speaker amp... Go have a look into gainclones... a single channel one would be ideal for a guitar amp.- sam_cat

CMoy...now what?
After my Cmoy I built another cmoy, with a power splitter chip instead of resistors to provide the virtual ground. Then I build another one, with a pair of buffer chips in addition to the above changes. I researched how these work/integrate rather than using someones existing design, happy...- sam_cat

Case was around £35, and the trafo's were about £30 each. Connectors came to around £25 (mains in, switch, 4 speaker binding posts and 2 phono connectors, all of good quality) All the wiring etc was stuff I already had. Trafos were from http://www.airlinktransformers.com/t...ansformers.asp...- sam_cat

Chopping off a piece of a pot?
Fine diamond blade on my hacksaw has always worked well for me, in-situ. As above, the blade will cut best in one direction, turn it all the way in that direction. Let the blade do the cutting (no large amounts of pressure required). Sam- sam_cat

My Dual mono gainclone build, based around a kit from www.chipamp.com. Not finished yet, need to hook the power boards to the amp boards and fit a slo-blow fuse for v1, then adding a smaller toroid, suitable relays etc for the soft start with a power button on the front (power/standby) and...- sam_cat
