Looking for suitable replacements for Denon AHD2000.

After 5 years of service, my AHD2000s broke over the weekend.  I'm looking for a replacement in the $300 or less range.   I use them mostly for PC gaming, but also some music listening as well (no one preferred genre), plugged into a Soundblaster Z.  Noise leakage will not be an issue.  I've...

Looking for a sub $100 sound card to replace my dead X-Fi Fatal1ty for gaming

I ended up ordering another Z from a different retailer. Got the real thing this time. Sounds decent enough and I'm happy.

Looking for a sub $100 sound card to replace my dead X-Fi Fatal1ty for gaming

Thanks, but I'm looking for a sound card as opposed to a headphone amp. :)

Looking for a sub $100 sound card to replace my dead X-Fi Fatal1ty for gaming

My trusty 8 year old X-Fi died last week and had to replace it in a hurry. I ordered a refurbished Soundblaster Z off of Amazon, but was shipped a counterfeit that turned out to be a Recon3D. Interestingly, the sticker on the back had the product and serial number for a Soundblaster Z, but...

Looking for IEM to be used primarily with iPhone. Budget around $150.

Yup.  I think I'm going to get the Gr07s.  It's not too far from my price point and people seem to dig it.  Thanks to all .:)

There's such a slippery slope.  This is my 3rd or 4th time researching headphones of some sort.  It always starts at one budget point and quickly escalates.  I started at $150.  Got to $180.  Now I'm considering $200 :)

Looking for IEM to be used primarily with iPhone. Budget around $150.

Quote: I work with computers, so generally when I get home, I don't go anywhere near them. :) Anyway, I'm vacillating quite a bit.  I'm wondering if it is worth jumping up to $180 to grab the GR07

Looking for IEM to be used primarily with iPhone. Budget around $150.

Quote:   A mix of rock, pop, electronic, hip hop and classical.  I guess I'll need a jack of all trades, but I'd skew toward more toward rock than the others.

Looking for IEM to be used primarily with iPhone. Budget around $150.

Let me ask one more stupid question.  Between the ATH-CKM500is for about $90 on Amazon, the Shure SE215k for $100 and the EPH 100 SL at $150, which will give the best bang for my buck?

Looking for IEM to be used primarily with iPhone. Budget around $150.

I'm considering the Yamaha EPH-100SL, but the lack of volume controls and mic if I get a phone call is a minor ding.  For the price, is there anything better I can get?  I'm not looking for anyting more than a nice detailed sound.  I'd be willing to jump to $200 if there is a considerable...

Thanks to all.  I ordered the DSS amp.  Reviews look good, price is right, and I like my current cans. :)  Shame I have to buy extra dongles and what not for my xbox, but it's all good.

I need surround headphones for my 360 and PS3.  I currently have a Denon AHD2000 for listening at home and Etymotic HF2s for on the go.  I've been using my Denon's when I can't use surround system (which now tends to be more often than not) but I'm sick of losing positional sound in movies and...

Looking to upgrade from HD555s. Am a noobie

Well, now I know why people have multiple headphones. Got my Denon's this morning. Definitely sound nicer than my HD555s and am very happy. However, they won't make me give up my Ety HF2s (I know I'm comparing in-ears compared to cans, but what the hell). As would be expected, the Denon's have...

I'm leaning toward the Denon's right now. I heard they didn't need an amp as much as the others. I will look at the Grados as well.

Looking to upgrade from HD555s. Am a noobie

I've been using Senn HD555s for the past few years. I use my headphones about 70% for music (prefer cans to speakers)/30% for movies/tv/games so I don't disturb neighbors at night. I haven't really been a big fan of them however. They did the job, but I've been looking for something better. I...
