Koss Porta-Pro's! I heard them at a friends house, and at the price (Less than 50 dollars) the sound quality was amazing.

I have the skullcandy SK-PRO, which in all respect due to the fact skullcandy makes terrible headphones, these were actually satifying in the fact they beat the dre beats by a land slide. My AKG K240s and Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 beat the SK-PRO by 2x over tho.

Apparently the DT 990s are a more refined version of the DT 770s. The bass is much calmer, mids creamier and the treble is bright and can be over-bearing for some, I have not heard the,, but from what people tell me, im convinced it is a very decent headphone.

The DT770-80 ohm are really nice for low-punchy bass, the DT770-250 ohm are much more refined and sound less relaxed, I reccomend the DT770-80 and do the "darth beyer" mod. Love my stock DT770 pro 80 though.

I think if you have some skills in soldering and some patience, you could get the cable and solder the cable to the drivers, the positive-negative will most likely be marked on the driver, and/or with color-coded cable insulation. Plus the headphones are already dual-entry correct? I would go...

The beats ate my beyerdynamic dt770 pro 80 in bass and overall sound quality. Properly amped like a home reciever is an experiance. I am comparing these to beyerdynamic, get the beats for portable. Sennheiser HD650 for home audio amped.

I like the beyerdynamic DT770 for metal, there 200 dollars for the 80 ohm and dont really leak, they block a hella noise too. Perfect for rock or metal of any kind man.
