The N3i are different. The TDIII have more emphasis on bass where as the N3i are more detailed with almost as much bass. Overall, the N3i are better for me, but I find the cable too short and the housings too large.    BTW, has anybody heard the TDIII and the silver bullets or Nuforce NE700...

The cable seems A LOT more durable but is too short and is a J cord. But that may be down to the mic.

My N3i's came in earlier today and they should definitley be considered if you want a bit more clarity and are willing to sacrifice a little amount of bass. The cable is much better and the housings have better strain reliefs and should last longer than the TD100-iii's. Great deal especially so...

That doesn't surprise me. Go on their site and open up a chat with them and tell Thomas about your problem. He will probably tell you to destroy the iem (cut the cable by the housing) and email him a picture as proof with your address and he will send you a replacement
