Cayin N8 TOTL DAP: KORG Nutube, Dual AK4497, 4.4mm phone/line out
I had to switch from SanDisk to Samsung cards to get them to work in my AR-M2, every time I booted it up with the SanDisk it would jitter "card removed/card inserted" dozens of times before stabilising. So I've just switched to Samsung completely now. I'm going to buy a 512gb soon so I'll find...- Scribemole

No, once the OTA download started running at a decent speed it all worked fine the same as previous upgrades, it was just the first attempt where the download stalled partway through after running at a snail's pace for 12hrs or so that I had problems.- Scribemole

If you mean the internal storage of the N8 and an OTA update, that is what I was attempting.- Scribemole

Well after 9 more hours with no movement, I gave up and restarted it. It's now downloaded the whole package in about 90secs!- Scribemole

Is anyone else having trouble downloading the latest update? It's been trickling down for 12hrs now and it hasn't moved past 44.1 MB for 2hrs, aiming for 48.6 MB to complete.- Scribemole

I think Andy is doing an amazing job here with his openness and the speed and willingness of his engagement. As regards the N8 itself, the regular firmware updates are a breath of fresh air with their ease of installation. And my untutored non-technical opinion counts for little but I still...- Scribemole

That's, a shame, they're probably going to miss a fair few sales opportunities there, it's a lovely looking case. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who makes regular trips to Japan.- Scribemole

Opening that link to the Van Nuys case on my smartphone, there's an option to change the language to English. I'd love to buy one but I can't find the price or "add to cart".- Scribemole

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
Wow that's what we need! $250 sounds reasonable. A few weeks ago I bought a 256gb micro sd in Argos (UK) for £119.99 and when I checked a couple of days ago it had gone up to £169.99!- Scribemole

CanJam London 2017 (July 15-16, 2017)
I'm in London now, via train from Cambridge, thought I'd prefer to get to the show fresh after a hotel breakfast rather than get up horribly early on Saturday to make the trip down. Good point @Jackpot77, if it's not about the music what's the point? I was at the Northwest Audio Show a couple...- Scribemole

T-Shirts please: Scribemole|XL|2 I wasn't expecting to come this year as a guy I have to cover for at work got in ahead of me and booked his leave over this weekend, but now he's moved it back a couple of weeks so I booked my tickets yesterday as soon as I found out I'm free. Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
A song which may not be to everyone's taste but which I use as a go-to when comparing headphones (rapidly sorts out the wheat from the chaff), is "Gipsy Boy" from Bob Carpenter's album Silent Passage. I discovered the album a couple of years ago and it's one of my favourites. Bob's gritty...- Scribemole

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
Bit late to the party with this, but here's my fix for the wheel on my original player which has been working fine for some months. I used a very thin sheet of foam crafting material (around 1mm thick) and got my wife to run it through her Grand Calibur die cutter with a couple of different...- Scribemole

Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings
Success! I found 2 low-capacity cards which allowed me to format in FAT32. One of them didn't work as it had a DCIM file header which kept reappearing after deletion and formatting several times-resilient little swine! The other 4gb card worked perfectly first time, so I've put it in the carry...- Scribemole

Thanks very much for the answer from all you guys, the QP1R and all my memory cards are at work now and I'm at home between shifts so I'll have another go when I get back on shift in around 11hrs. I was using a 128gb card and a new 64gb card and the 2 different W10 PCs I was working with were...- Scribemole

Thanks for all your help here Moedawg! I'm having a problem with this update, I've downloaded it and put it put it onto a new exfat 128gb card but when I put it into slot1 of QP1R it tells me "file system not support". Any ideas? I've tried using more than one card, formatted each time with same...- Scribemole
