Has anyone experienced their headphones getting dull over time? I've had mine for I think about a year now and they don't sound as clean as they use to. 

I think so. I've replaced the screen on my samsung s3 several times. Got a heat gun and everytthing. I've also replaced my macbook pro screen. Come to think of it.... I break a lot of screens.

you guys think if I write to Fiio they will send me a replacement screen?

That's so funny because I was thinking that same thing. That's why I think all tips should come with that wax screen.    On another note, isn't ear  wax an acid? wouldn't it damage the internals of the headphone?

Yeah I ordered the Sony. They will be here next month :(   I did buy the westone's anyway because I missread what fnkcow wrote. I thought he wrote the "foams" where made for 5mm driver and the "silicone" were for the smaller drivers. While the silicone tips are smaller the foam tips don't even...

So it was pretty easy to take the core from another set of tips and put it into the westone tips.   I do get a better seal and I hear the bass difference but the overall sound is muffled. I think it's because the core is shorter than the foam material.     EDIT: I used the shorter tips...

So I'm an idiot. These westones don't fit.   Is there a DIY solution to make the hole bigger? I've got drills and super glue. Any ideas?

Just gotta say, CTC audio has absolutely the best customer service I've ever delt with. My headphones were lost in the mail and they sent a replacement out quickly and kept me in the loop the whole time. I am very impressed. They even threw in an upgrade for the tips of my in ears.

I don't know if I should read that as "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!!!" or "What have you done?" Anyway still haven't recived my altones but i was looking at the DIY custom molds videos. Has anyone tried going that route? Are custom molds better or worse sounding than well fitting faom tips?
