The HE-500 look like a great option. Any info on how the HE-500's would pair with the MKIII?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm gonna go try and test out the HD800s sometime this weekend and see if i like them. I've read about them being very bright and I can't say I'm too much of a fan of bright; They can get very fatiguing after a while.    Anyone have any more input on the HE-500...

Both are incredibly good, but I much prefer Rachmaninoff's style. His Piano Concertos and Symphonies are simply amazing and his Variations on Paganini are probably the best I've heard. I'm a fan of Russian composers.

Your best bet is to check here: New York Philharmonic I know I'm going to be going to a couple of performances, especially that Brahms violin concerto.

Thanks for the input. I was also reading up on the DacMagic, I have it under consideration. I was wondering if anyone had some hands on with of these amps to see which one is better and if I end up choosing the DacMagic, if the price difference compared to the others is worth it.
