Dunu TITAN Series (new for 2019: Titan 6) [Page 196]

Could anyone with both the TripleFi10 and Titan 1 give a comparison? I'm looking to upgrade the former. I never found the TripleFi10 particularly comfortable - particularly while lying in bed - and the cable is highly microphonic. The sound quality, however, is sufficient to my ears.    Also...

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.

Quote:   Yeah, I didn't mention I was going to return the Schiit right away as I realize I haven't had much time to settle in with the new gear. The Schiit sounds good by all means, just not very different from the Pico to my ears.   Regarding "burn-in," isn't this a controversial...

Quote:   Source - Spotify 320k and Flac/wav via Foobar Headphone - HE-500   I suppose my expectations are the culprit as I figured adding tubes to my audio equation would produce a more striking contrast. The Schiit combo sounds fine; my only gripe is that the Pico sounds just as...

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.

So I received my Lyr/Bifrost stack today. Compared to my Pico, I honestly hardly notice any difference. The Schiit combo perhaps is a hair more detailed, but I doubt I reliably could conclude the same given a blind test. Maybe my ears either are too damaged or my brain not adept regarding...

Quote: I do love how "easy" the HD-595's listening experience is. These cans are super light and my ears are rarely if never fatigued. No surprise, however, as I've used these phones for 6 or so years.

Quote:   Wow, I didn't go past 11 with your setup. Anything more was simply too loud for my ears.     Edit: My statement aside, admittedly I was curious what more power would sound like. I'll find out soon with my HE-500 as I just purchased a LYR/Bifrost stack to replace my Pico. The...

Quote:   This. Tinnitus is such a maddening ailment, although years of drumming and concert-going are more the culprit in my case. I find headphones provide a nice distraction, but I continually have to be wary of volume. Protect your hearing folks!

Quote:   Thanks for the clarification. I've been seriously considering upgrading to another dac and amp, but I have a hunch I'll be disappointed regarding money spent versus sonic upgrade. Perhaps I should just check out some pad modding!

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.

After about 15 hours of listening to the HE-500 I must say the bass is somewhat muddied when compared to the HE-400. Some recordings reveal my findings much more than others. Am I under amplifying these with my Pico amp, or is this the nature of the two cans? I still however prefer the signature...

    NEW - Schiit Asgard 2

Quote:   I have been leaning towards bifrost/lyr, so I may as well just take the plunge. Also, I have never owned a tube/hybrid amp, so I'm quite curious how one sounds. My only worry is that I'll drop $800 and hear no improvement over my Pico amp/dac.    What tubes are you using?

Has anyone been able to compare A2 and Lyr with HE-500?

So, I exchanged my HE-400 for the HE-500. I must say I was very pleased within the first 30 seconds of a song through the HE-500. To my ears, the HE-500 has a fuller, cohesive sound that suits my tastes. Interestingly I notice more bass impact with the HE-500 although the HE-400 seemed more...

    HE-500, LCD2, D5000, DT770, SR80, on a speaker amp (Emotiva mini-X A-100) Project

Hey all,   I have a HE400 and pico dac/amp and I'm considering upgrading to the HE-500/tube magic/a100 combo. Would this be a substantial upgrade? I'd hate to shell out the extra cash for an upgrade of marginal difference. I'm big into female vocals I listen to most genres.   Thanks

Speaking of Foobar 2000 EQ, is there a commonly used configuration that helps "balance" the 400 anyone could share?   I must say the 400's are growing on me a bit. I'm likely just not used to such a revealing headphone. I still feel a "hollowness" exists, but man that bass sure is satisfying.
