BigTony: Looking forward to hearing your opinion on the balanced cable. Are you currently using the HD650 stock cable? I was thinking about trying the balanced cable as well. Not sure if I should expect an improvement compared the Blue Dragon cable Im currently using.

The tube cage does indeed make the Jade appear like a monster. Remove it and save a lot of space. However it looks so damn cool with it on

HD650 is amazing with the Jade. Replaced my DT880 with them some time ago and haven't been able to turn off the Jade since I can only imagine how great a pair of HD800 must sound. Jade.love!

Hi, I'm trying to help out a friend of mine with his new MEIER 3MOVE amp, but we're have some issues. We can't seem to select ASIO as output device on Foobar. After installing the ASIO driver and putting the .dll in the Foobar component folder, ASIO still doesn't show under output devices...

I just got my HD650 and they are very pleasing indeed. I need to break them in before evaluating further, but so far so good. However I find them quite uncomfortable to wear compared to the DT880. Thanks for all your help guys.

I know this is an older thread, but my question fits well with the debate Drew obviously prefers Silver for the HD650, but would you still get kickass result from using Blue or Black? I'm thinking of buying a used BD cable from a friend of mine.

To be honest I don't have any solid preferences in terms of music at the moment. I listen to everything from pop-rock the death metal and even some occasional acoustic and jazz. No isolation needed.

I just re-installed Vista 64-bit and now it won't work. There were no problems before formatting.

I have the original Creative X-Fi drivers installed which I hadn't before I formatted. I don't know if it makes a difference.

TopPop: It seems like you're a bit worse off than me. I guess it's difficult to know for sure before I've tried the cans myself. Either way it never hurts do to a little research and hear what people have to say.

TopPop: I'm looking at both HD650 and AH-D5000. I consider HD650 a safe bet, but was hoping to could go for something a little more exciting like the AH-D5000 without making my ears bleed. The vocal sibilance is killing me on the DT880. I hate my weak ears. More testimonies?
