So if the Grado 125i and 225i use the same driver . . .

So if the Grado 125i and 225i use the same driver . . .

I did notice a difference between the 60 and the 125, but that difference was slight. I always assumed that difference was due to the different pads. When I listen to the 60 with bowls, there's a striking improvement. I think the 60 with bowls or the quarter mod will save you the price...

Amazon gift card, yay! Cans @ $50? Help, please! :)

Wait a bit. Next week, Shure's coming out with some new sets of headphones. One's priced at what you're asking for, around 49.99. Should be the best quality for that price.

A few general questions about the Sr60i's.

I'm going to say, don't buy the SR60i. I did and I'm disappointed I did, and it's $70 down the drain. I can sell it off, but it's a matter of how much money I lose. There's no clarity anywhere. Acoustic instruments sound muted. Guitars sound metallic. The natural resonance guitars produce when...

    The GRADO SR-60 Impressions Thread

How long do these have to be burned in before they sound really good? I just got one, and it's not what I expected. Objectively, they're very good for the price, but I thought there's supposed to be an up-front sound to them. Will this come later, or is this pretty much it. It's nearing the 24...

HF-2 errors making anyone shy away?

To answer the original question, it's not the error that'll shy me away from the company. It's how the company responds to it. I won't accept being mistreated. I won't tolerate a company that feels they're doing the customer a favor by selling them a product, because it's the other way...

    AKG K702 Impressions.

I tried out some low end Grado's recently, and I really like how the sound appears to originate somewhere close to you, but I don't like how the lower notes are blurry. I demo'd them listening to a symphony, and I noticed there was a "bass cloud." The cellos and string bass produced a persistent...

What is near perfect but won't break the bank?

Can someone comment on the Denon AH-D2000? It seems to have a strong sound throughout the entire range, while being significantly cheaper.

What is near perfect but won't break the bank?

This graph scares me a bit about the AD700. The bass response appears to be very low. The Denon D2000 appears like it would sound very, very much like the HD650; and it only costs half as much, based on actual market prices. The remaining question is clarity. I thought the bass on...

What is near perfect but won't break the bank?

What is near perfect but won't break the bank?

I'll look into the headphones suggested. Can someone comment on this? How different are the SR60, SR80, and SR325? Is it something where I'd have to listen attentively to a music clip multiple times before I hear a difference?

What is near perfect but won't break the bank?

I'm in the market for a very good set of headphones but am not into knit picking minor differences at extreme cost. Was wondering if people could suggest something that produces very accurate sound that is still within reasonable cost. This is a oversimplified schematic of what I mean...
