Chicago/Milwaukee July 11 2009 Meet Impressions
Thanks to Andy & everyone that helped organized this meet. I'm pretty new to head-fi & it was awesome to see & hear all the equipment, as well as meeting everyone. Certainly glad we didn't turn around after getting a flat on the way up Thanks again!- dnichols

Everyone on Head-Fi can't be wrong, can they? Dissapointed with Grado SR-225's..
I don't think I've seen this mentioned yet, but what sort of files are you listening to out of iTunes; AAC, Apple Lossless, MP3. If not lossless, what bit rate? I very often listen to 225's straight out of my MacBook & think they sound great, but all of my music is at least 320kbps. I used to...- dnichols

Digital Piano Headphones
I currently use the AKG K271 MKII with a Yamaha digital piano & think it sounds great. You should be able to find those at various places for ~ $150. I would agree that the Grado's would not be a good choice here; I briefly tried playing with my sr225's & it did not sound good straight out of...- dnichols
