I'm thinking of the 380 since I can use the digital input (if I want to sync clocks with the interface), plus the 4.4 balanced output. I don't think the 500 series has 4.4 out, correct?

What if I want to step up in the Violectric range if I happen to like the 222? 340/380? Or just go to the 500 series?

Gotcha, was just wondering because my setup is peculiar right now. My "DAC" is actually a MOTU UltraLite MK5 interface so I can monitor my voice when speaking, and has a S/PDIF/ADAT out that I can utilize.

I wonder if anyone has compared any Violectric to an RME ADI-2 because that's the other one I was cross-shopping with - especially that the 2/4 Pro is around the corner. The 5-band parametric EQ seems enticing.

Contacted Power Holdings for an ETA on the new Violectrics, they said some units are on their way. Pretty excited!

Ahh unfortunate that CMA doesn't ship to the USA. I don't think Power Holdings has them in stock yet. Been debating between a Violectric and a Benchmark for my personal endgame amp, looks like the former is great for a more organic presence.

Yeah, it seems to be the overall sentiment about the LIRIC, very resolving but also musical and dynamic. Might be on my horizon then!

I see, I've listened to the original Aeons and didn't find them too harsh on the clamp force, but the Ethers are definitely more comfortable. And yeah it seems the consensus of the CX is that it's closer tuned to the C Flow which is a good thing considering it's relatively slept on - got mine...

Contemplating a Noire purchase to upgrade from the Ether CX. Has anyone compared the two yet? I feel like I'd be sacrificing some resolving power in favor of a more agreeable signature, judging from the various reviews of the former. Meze's LIRIC is also something I'd consider.
