Well. I didn't exactly mean an upgrade but i get what that i'd need to upgrade to understand how different they were. I'm just wondering like, if theres more clarity, more detail in other high end phones. Like, better highs/balance or something.

I got my DT-770 pro (80ohm) for $100 used on ebay. This was used and without a warranty though. Cans are made well, and that was all I had, so went through with it. Been great so far

How do these compare to the Beyerdynamic DT770? I have a pair of those, not sure if i should jump on either the AD700 or the other for that price.

I'd suggest you try them both and then decide which you like more. Nothing's more valuable and true then what YOU hear. Is that a possibility for you?

That would be the DT770 pro. It was the only type of them i auditioned.

I saw a review of the open A700, and there was mention of a lack of bass. I think for gaming and a lot of the genres i listen to bass is pretty needed. Of course, vocals need to be good also.

Well, mainly due to sound leakage for gaming and the occasional movie. I also find the more isolation, then the more immersion, which I do like.

Sorry I meant a high quality soundcard. I have a fairly new motherboard with onboard sound of course.
