    Ultimate Ears 700 Appreciation Thread!

The tips are the key to make UE 700 work (so what else is new, eh?).  I found them to be really sibilant with virtually all of the supplied tips, and since I don't like the sound of foamies that excludes the Comply tips as a possible solution.  Decided to try to shove the treble-killing Shure...

    4th gen shuffle-initial impressions)

When you switch this new Shuffle off then switch back on (say, the next day), does it resume playback where it left off?  Always found 1G Shuffle's erratic behavior on this annoying.

    ultimate ears 700

Not going to speculate on the problem, but there clearly is a unique issue here.  I've had the 700s for a couple of months now, and I may actually have begun to prefer them to my SE530s and Image X10s.  And believe me, I know how to CRANK them UP, and no hint of distortion.  The falling out...

Ultimate Ears 700, is it good?

Well, I was about to start a thread about the 700s but this one will do.  I purchased them as my 'lawnmower' IEMs -- you know, the ones I'd pop in when I had yard work to do so didn't want to worry about sweat, etc., because they were the 'cheapies'.  I have the venerable SE530s which are still...

Cheapest place to buy Klipsch X10? GO! GO! GO!

Just got 'em myself. Lowest I could find (amongst authorized online dealers) was $329 in a price-match with Amazon.com. They're really great IEMs, even if at that price they're still a little high..nothing else like them though AFAIK.

    Frustrated with Clip+

It CAN be done, just results in a much larger file size but equal quality (to the mp3 file). No reason to do it on the Clip because it plays mp3s natively like every other player. I actually transcoded 'up' to FLAC from some iTunes-purchased AAC files (256 kbps) in order to load/play on my Clip...

    Klipsch Image x10 x5 compared to Image S4 / S4i

I'm finding the X10s to be great 'everyday' phones, very easy to just pick up with the iPod nano and go without giving much thought to it and wearing most of the day. They just don't call much attention to themselves, either sonically or physically, and provide a terrific listening experience...

Calling all Klipsch image X10/X5 owners - ear gel help needed

Got the X10s today!! Initial impression with the large single-flange gel tips...Beautiful. A little persnickity in achieving a working seal because the little beasties are so dang small. You NEED to get a perfect seal to get these to fly -- you can unfortunately arrive at a pseudo-seal with them...

Calling all Klipsch image X10/X5 owners - ear gel help needed

Here's a vote against the Shure Olives. I haven't developed a taste for their effect on sound sig on my Image S4s, and as noted above they can actually stick on the phone and become VERY difficult to remove (almost to the point of breaking the stalk). As far as the Klipsch Gels, I too have...

Help deciding the best bass IEM for a "bass-head" with SQ, would like iPhone capabilities but not essential

I've become so bass-oriented these days, that Shure SE530s need a little help for me to enjoy them. I purchased the Klipsch Image S4s recently and got the thump going and haven't looked back. Problem now is I've grown somewhat weary of excessive and muddy bass I get with the S4/Shure grey tips...

    Image X10 Discontinued?

Interesting. Wonder why they would offer me a 'mic'ed product as the only version. I guess Klipsch believes convergence of smart phones and DAPs is universal. Not so for me, as I keep the devices quite separate. Hmmm.

    Image X10 Discontinued?

Well, still no confirmation on any of this. I just ordered the X10s from Audio Advisor anyway, 'cause it's not like Klipsch is going out of business and they still have warranty.
