Both are great. I listen to them through a clip and fuze. PFE needs or sounds better being amped. PFE has more detail, sounds clearer, maybe some wider soundstage. Turbines IMOP do not need to be amped, but can stil benefit form it. It has a more deeper punchy sound, almost subwoofer like...

In my opinion, I have both the Nuforce 7 and Monster Turbine, they both have pretty much the same sound signature, but bass a tad deeper and better quality with the turbines. Mids are decent represented in both. The highs of the Turbines sounds to have slightly better details and less grainy...
