still hoping for some opinions on this subject from those who have high end stuff, but have tried lower end too.   I realize this should have been posted in the help and recommendations forum now, my apologies.

I have Sennheiser HD600's myself, but I'm looking for a cheap pair of cans as a secondary pair. If i slap on these from Creative, am i going to find them truly awful compared to what i'm used to, or will i be pleasantly surprised? I have no experience of low end headphones over the last 10-15...

I actually went for some HD600's, it will be nice to have the quality back again, i never liked the HD595's, they are not in the same class.   Hope they turn up soon, it's night time and i'm listening in mono right now :)

it's a tiny wire that connects from the pcb to the driver, you can barely see it, so i've given up on them. For me, it's impossible to do it.

Annoyingly, my 595's just died on me. The tiny, tiny wire going from the small pcb to the actual driver (well under 1mm thick) has broken in two and i have no clue how to fix it,   My first thought is to get some HD650's, but the price is just mad. I bought some HD600's for £130 six years...
