personally I love the foam tips too, however I cannot get a good fit with them basicly not on any of my iem's which sucks. you should definitely try the spinfits, I use them on my se846,jh16pro,and jh rosies, they are all consistent with the fit and with sound.

I agree that's a catch 22. only real way to know how the signal will distort is to further increase the volume pot, I think alot of wireless mfg do this like sony,apple,etc I found the volume for the Bluetooth just to not be as sufficient as it should be.

I got a pair of akg k712 I'd let god if your looking for something like that. I'd say they are pretty good for gaming your usual open back wide soundstage, I'd say they are a really good pick for gaming of course thats my opinion
