Can anyone offer an opinion on the "glare" or "ringing" effect that some have experienced (including myself) with the HE-500. Does the LCD-2 exhibit this characteristic or is it a general trait of the technology?   Thanks

i tried taking the cup and mesh off my he-500 to compare but still experienced ringing / glare.   thinking of selling now..

ah, I neglected to mention that I have owned the triple fi but ended up going back to the q-jays.   anyone else?

the grado's, imo, are way too harsh in the mids and the denon's are far too harsh on the highs. have you considered d5000 which does both better for me
