Right, USB cable doesn't carry analog signal. So, apparently Macbook's DAC is used for digital to analog conversion for that setup.

Hello all   Subscribed to the thread. My portable rig looks like this, iPhone4 + HP-P1 + ES5     I couldn't figure out how to use a Fostex's carry case either. So, during transportation I just put it to a ES5 case which perfectly suit.     and, ready to go

I just got this combo (160D,T1) setup a couple days ago. I would say that even it's not the best setup for T1 but it's fine. By the way, I may need to do some power cable, fuse and probably headphone cable replacement to suit my personal preference.   Note that "High Gain output" provided...

Normally integrated amp sound better for music listening. Better go for int amp w/ headphone output unless you want the decode part for watching movie.

Power cord is not new to audiophiles community, some might prefer to change it rather than speaker cable or interconnect However you do not have to worry about it at the moment, just do your research on dac Ps since my first try, I was busy with power cord about a year

Hi, right! the concept is pretty much the same as Stax SRD7 MKII and/or Woo WEE, but this one has normal stereo headphone output as well as balance one. For the damage and tech spec, let's wait for the originator to reply.

To OP, to me as well as audiophile friends:   a source plays a crucial part in the hi-fi world, if you have good enough amp + headphone/speakers to monitor those as well as your passion to wanna hear thing better   Let's think about amp + headphones as a black box, you then listen to...

Both the same 600 Ohm, why not?  If we concern too much about price mismatch, then upgrade the phone lol    Ps I found a great match for Woo WA6 + 880 (250 Ohm) but not 880 (600 Ohm). So, minute EL34 will be worth considering. There is binding post to connect to speaker as well. 

A magic box + speaker amp could drive any top cans, even stax.

Hi Ferbose   I just want to keep you updated, the Minute EL34 push pull version is ready to order and will be available soon here in Thailand. Hopefully I should have a chance to compare it side by side b/w 300B and EL34 PP with the beyerdynamic T1.
