^^ sounds like an interesting idea, tubed pre-amp + BCL. i tried BCL with vinyl setup (Music Hall mmf 2.2 le + Pro-Ject Phono Box II) and i really liked what i heard. it wasn't perfect, bass was loose and less controlled than with digital, sibilance of vocals sounded little weird and overall...

after all this time i figured what cd i used to have. it was Cho-Liang Lin's recording of The Four Seasons. it contains 6 additional tracks of Vivalidi's Violin Concertos (i like those tracks the best, i always thought they were part of Four Seasons compilation) for total of 18 tracks,  ...

a little advice, don't do too many trials a day. i achieved much better results by doing just two trials a day and calculating probabalities later. i tend to get confused when i take more trials or when i do rapid switching between samples. i usually cut samples to 30 seconds. it has worked best...

how about the sound of BDP-93's analog out? did you guys do any comparisons? how does it stack up?

you could use external DAC with SACD playback, you would have to select DSD->PCM (and multichannel->2ch dowmix in case of records with 6 channels) conversion in player and send it to DAC via coaxial or toslink.   EDIT: i just remembered that above is valid for HDMI connection, i'm not sure...

little update, we listened to it yesterday and since i own a cd of Queen (Absolute Greatest Hits, it sounds awful sonically), i was afraid same could be the case with LP. and it really was  it sounded washed out, like there was some barrier between musicians and mics at the recording. right...

^i use ASIO, so 100%. i get no oscillation or unpleasant sound. you should change op-amps in I/V, they're probably not stable. 

after all i got it to work without a need for script. i righ-clicked on song from album, Legacy commands->Get Album Art from Last.fm..., i chose an album's folder and saved it as front ; under Preferences->Display/Album Art, i added front.png to Front Cover.   it took me some time to do this...
