(Former) Ety 4P users who have switched
My situation was very close to you. I use ER4P many years. And always seeking next step up. Tried E4C and Super.fi5, but both can were not my tastes to switch. I also did not like to have an Amp. But finally, I tried SMV3. With Bass boost, ER4P changed drastically. I had no more frustration on...- jyk

Is the new supermini/micro worth $100 more than pa2v2?
If you will use the amp for ER4, bass boost is crutial and valuable. Therefore, supermini would be a candidate.- jyk

Etymotic Bass
I have ER-4P+SM v3. with the bass boost, 4P change drastically. In some music, it result too much bass. Then I switch to +75Ohm position. It makes sounds more flat. Also you can change opamp and can seek best fit sound for you.- jyk

My IEM Review (Shure E4/E5, UE Super.Fi 5 Pro/EB, Etymotic ER4s)
First of all, my preference high is "horn" type speaker such as JBL2405 or 075. I use ER4P over 2 years. I like 4P but I know it need more bass. That was short point of the 4P. I bought super.fi and it was too much mid-bass,bass energy and shortage of high energy. E4c is very well balanced...- jyk

Just got Super.fi 5 PRO
Listening super-fi pro5 about 5 hours. (bought at the G.C.). I am ER4P user. Therefore, my impression is just comparison with ER4P. My general EQ setting for ER4P(mainly for Jazz) is “Bass boost” (ipod mini, no amp). Enjoying very nice attack(transient), mid-high and clear ambience. There...- jyk

Sending my ER-4P's back.
Before retern, I do recommend to use "Ivory" tips. This is smaller size and lesser isolation. But not annoying like other tips.- jyk

If you have UE5c AND UE10Pro,,,,
Let me have a question about relationship between volume level and bass level on UE10pro. The reason why I am asking this question is, My JBL monitor 4343 (4Way) has 30cm woofer. When volume level is low, this woofer does not respond very well. But when the volume is mid to high, becoming to...- jyk

If you have UE5c AND UE10Pro,,,,
I am Ety user and enjoying it. But this forum is getting hot about UEs. I can't help thinking to have UE5c or UE10Pro. If someone who has UE5c and 10Pro and compare the difference of them, it would be a huge help to have a final decision.- jyk
