Tried a voodooed Captivate, definitely big improvement over non voodoo. I can't compare it to the Nexus S since I never actually had one in my hand. But I've read somewhere that the chip is the same in the Nexus as in the Galaxy S phones.

From what I've been reading, Cowon taylors towards the audiophile crowd, but I use my trusty iPod with a line out adapter, completely bypassing the internal amplifier.

WASAPI is basically like ASIO. Normally Windows mixes all output and most of the time down-samples it. By using WASAPI you're bypassing the Windows mixer, used a lot for bit matched playback.

I get no rustling sound when listening at comfortable sound levels, but when I increase the volume I definitely hear it. The XX track tho, I hear that even in my comfort zone. First time I've even experienced this.

If the P4's are anything like other Audioengine products, I'd give them a try. Although I may be a bit biased on my opinion as I own a pair of A2's and A5's.
