Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Looks like Jabra announced the 75t. Smaller, better battery, and USB-C charging. https://www.theverge.com/2019/9/5/20840885/jabra-elite-75t-true-wireless-earbuds-release-date-news-features-ifa-2019

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

One other nitpick with the 65t (though I knew this one in advance)... I really wish these accessory manufacturers would just switch over to USB-C already so that I didn't need a separate charging cable for my headphones (when USB-C works on my PC, phone, and Nintendo Switch). I know that the...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I went for it and picked up the Jabra 65t to try myself. I would say there is a tiny bit of wind noise, but not too much. The other set of Bluetooth headphones I use are the active-cancellation Bose QC30 and those have far more problems with wind noise. It's been a while since I've had...

Apparently Qualcomm has some improvements in this area coming to devices in the second half of the year as well...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

If you don't have the case with you, do these turn off at all? My thought would be that I'd want to bring the headphones on my 40 minute walk to and from work, but I probably wouldn't want to bring the case with me daily.

Bose QC30 - QuietControl 30 wireless noise canceling earphones - impressions

Honestly, I'm not sure I'd be able to give the best answer to that, as I haven't used my hf2 regularly for about 3 years or so now (and I wouldn't say I have anything close to a golden ear either).  For ergonomic reasons (microphonics, feeling every step I took, etc.), I switched to the Phonak...

Bose QC30 - QuietControl 30 wireless noise canceling earphones - impressions

So over the past week I've had about two hours of phone calls with no issues so far on the other end.  Though I should note that these calls were all indoors.  Love the sound quality, the noise cancellation is pretty good but these are the first active noise cancellation ones I've used (though...

Bose QC30 - QuietControl 30 wireless noise canceling earphones - impressions

Haven't been able to yet because I didn't get in until late.  I left a few voicemails for myself and didn't notice a problem yet, but not sure.   Also, it seems weird to me it cannot be on while charging, but that's a minor nitpick. 6 Edit:  In the Bose Connect app, it says these were...

Bose QC30 - QuietControl 30 wireless noise canceling earphones - impressions

I decided to give these a try and received them today.  Haven't been able to fully put them through their paces yet.  A few observations though:   Mine were ordered Tuesday direct from Bose, shipped Wednesday, and received Monday, so if there was a recall it seems to be over. Maybe related...

Bose QC30 - QuietControl 30 wireless noise canceling earphones - impressions

Is wind noise as big a problem for any of you as the Amazon reviews make it sound?  While I do travel occasionally,  my primary use would be outdoors walking or biking, so that would be a deal breaker for me. I know the first poster mentioned it a little, but that's it.

    NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S

Thanks for that, I think the 'headphone to female 3.5mm' cable from Bestintheverse looks like it might do pretty well for this as another option too.

    NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S

Anyone know where to find lightweight and far shorter cables for these?  I'm looking for something in the sub 1m range, and the shortest I've seen anywhere (including the ones on eBay) is 1.2m.    I still plan on (for now) using the stock cable for most listening, but I also will soon have a...

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions

I love the sound of these with my glasses off, but I get next to no bass while wearing my glasses if there's an air gap in the pads.  I know I've seen this mentioned in a couple reviews, but is this something that goes away over time as the pads wear in a little?  If not, I'll probably have to...

Sony SBH80: Wireless to the Next Level: Review

Thanks for the heads up on the tips.  I didn't really mean to say that the cord was too long, as it definitely feels like the right size for the design (and even better, it gives enough room for me to wear the headphone part over the ear, eliminating my cord noise issue)... just that if you're...

Sony SBH80: Wireless to the Next Level: Review

Is it just me or are the buttons a little mushy?  I don't get good feedback when I'm pushing them in to know if it worked or not.  Also, there's a bit more cord noise from the button section to the headphones themselves than I would like.  And something people should probably be prepared for...

Jaybird Bluebuds X still the best bluetooth earphones? Who has the best price?

It's a bit of a problem because the microphonics of the cable are absolutely terrible when under-ear, or you get reversed channels when over-ear.  It would seem to be a simple firmware change to reverse them too, but of course unlike some other Bluetooth headsets and headphones, Jaybird doesn't...

    Phonak Audeo (PFE) Thread

So I've got a pair of the 022 that I use the gray filters with and love them... but I've been reading that they're discontinued.  With the caveat that I haven't read this entire 186 page thread, is it worth stocking up on filters right now?  Or maybe even buying a backup pair at $60?

    The Etymotics HF5 Thread

Quote: No, I did the same thing, and it still pushes against the inside of your ear pretty hard if you're laying on your side.  The HF2 definitely sticks out less than the ER-4 I had before that, but both still stick out to the point where it's going to be uncomfortable sleeping on your...

    The Etymotics HF5 Thread

I can't do it either with the Etymotic HF2. Just bought a set of the PFE122 and those are much better (though not perfect) for laying on my side. I find that the Etymotics just protude too much for side sleeping.

    Upgrade from Ety ER-4P?

I don't have too much experience with other IEMs, only having tried 2 non-Etymotic models, but it's my understanding that it's going to be difficult to find isolation as good as Etymotic without going custom.

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Not sure if it's mentioned earlier in the thread, but for what it's worth, I just bought the Meelec M6P as a backup and the standard accessories are slightly different on mine. You mention only "single-flange (3 sizes) and small silicone tri-flange tips"... so I'm sure that they just changed...

Etymotic MC vs HF series and Foam Tip Recommendations?

Etymotic MC vs HF series and Foam Tip Recommendations?

Another thing to consider are the small frost tips.  Personally, out of all the Etymotic-brand tips, I liked those best.
