Best IEM for DJ'ing
Good points. The clubs that I DJ at tend to be a little lean on the lows (surprisingly) which makes overrepresented bass in a monitor even more problematic. Any recs?- PinkRange

Best IEM for DJ'ing
Hey all. Been a member here since forever but have never really posted all that much. I'm currently in the market for an IEM for use while DJ'ing at a couple of the club jobs I have. I've done some searching and there doesn't appear to be a great deal of threads created by DJs who actually...- PinkRange

IEM to pair with Ipod160
I agree. Another Ety may not be to your liking. I'd try something from the UE line if you want a little more bass and a more enjoyable listen.- PinkRange

JVC Marshmallows
Yeah...I don't know about AM radio sound. I think you may need to just ensure you're getting a good seal. I find them to be a great workout headphone and am actually enjoying them a bit more than my Super.fi 5's because they're less delicate and have more of a fun sound. But...I'm an audio noob.- PinkRange

DJ headphones?
Ultrasone DJ line is pretty good. HD 280 Pro's are great but you wil sweat your ass off wearing them (otherwise great). Sony MDR-V700's are really durable, I love them even though they don't offer any sort of hi-fi sound but the bass is very punchy. The Pioneer line is pretty good as well...- PinkRange

IEM's and DJ'ing
Hey all, just a real quick question for the audiophile dj's out there (which I'm not sure there are many of). I've seen a few DJ's that use IEM's when they're spinning as monitors instead of a full sized set of headphones. I tried IEM's for a while and I didn't really like them for monitoring, I...- PinkRange

Official K-81 DJ thread
Got mine today and the isolation is great. Not as great as the HD280 Pro I have, but far more comfortable and much better sound (when talking loudly, you can just barely hear your voice). The clamp that people talk about isn't bad at all, especially coming from the HD280, try dj'ing in those for...- PinkRange

HD555 vs HD280 Pro
The HD280 Pro's are a nice bassy headphone with the bluetak mod. I used them for DJ'ing for a few years and loved them to death. Although overall clarity leaves a bit to be desired.- PinkRange

Where do you guys get these sexy headphone stands?
If those are too expensive for your blood you can always head to your local home accessories store (Bed, Bath & Beyond, etc) and grab a chrome banana hanger. Sometimes hard to find, but are only about $10.- PinkRange

JBL E80: Receiver Recommendation?
Hey all, I've been surfing the forums for a while now, doing some searching. I currently have JBL E80's, the specs are linked below: JBL E80 Specs I want to get the most out of these that I can so I'm thinking I need to upgrade my receiver, it's about 7 years old and I used it for my...- PinkRange

Best MP3 Player for around $100
Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted and most of that was done in the headphone forums. I'm currently looking for an MP3 player for my girlfriend at around the $100 pricepoint, give or take. Do you have any recommendations on the "best" player out there in terms of sound quality and...- PinkRange

Need some new headphones, but which ones should I get?
You plug in through the audio out on the front of the tv or in the back. On newer tv's there will be an auxillary input in the front. From there you can just just the volume control of the television to control the volume of your 'phones. Never tried plugging into the audio out of a console, but...- PinkRange

Azure, It sounds like you're Jonesing for the A500's. I say go with them because it's your gut feelings after what you've read. Go with what you think, you'll be happier than if you go on our recommendations (in all likelihood). The sound is gonna be real close on all of them, so just take...- PinkRange

Azure, You seem to be following nearly the same path as I did when I first got started with headphones a short time ago. You read on these boards and you get obsessed over the highest quality 'phones that everyone else is talking about. Here's the thing though, many of these people have high...- PinkRange

Here's the address for that bluetak mod, explained pretty easily and shouldn't take you long should you decide to go with the HD280's. http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showt...hlight=bluetak Let us know about your decision, whatever it may be. Ben- PinkRange

Need some new headphones, but which ones should I get?
It's Sennheiser, don't let anyone tell you they suck. They're a great set of headphones, especially for the closed market, and for the price they have about as good of sound as you can find. This is especially true if you do that "bluetak" mod I talked about in my earlier post. Check out...- PinkRange

Need some new headphones, but which ones should I get?
My suggestion is to go with the Senn HD280 Pro's. I just got my pair the other day and they sound great. A great thing to do is to open 'em up (quite easy) and do the "bluetak" mod on 'em. It makes the base better on both ends I think and gives you clearer sound in the highs. The Grado's are...- PinkRange

Sub $100, Grado SR60 still the best?
I love my SR-60's they're absolutely wonderful. They don't really even bug my roommate either and he's really sensitive. I even use them while he sleeps without a problem, overall they're just a great headphone. ~Range- PinkRange

In my dealings with amusicdirect.com they've always been great. I've bought all of my Grado's from them and haven't had a problem. They're shipping system is very fast in my opinion. ~Range- PinkRange

best 3D gaming headphone w/ big soundstage
I've also read the Beyerdynamic DT-770 is great for gaming, especially for first person shooters. The base response is supposed to be very good, but I haven't heard them myself yet. I'd definitely say from what I've heard about them they sound great. ~Range- PinkRange
