Just wanted to add that I picked up the iBeats today at best buy for $100 US. I'm gonna post my first impressions later today but so far i'm liking them and they sound pretty damn close to my well burned-in turbines.

hmm, another iem that sounds amazing for my tastes but I'll probably never hear being in the states.

with 13.5mm drivers and responding all the way down to 5Hz, I would think that these would be the clear bass winners for all iems but they are constantly said on here to be less bassy than the turbines, atrio, ie8s... what's going on?

I like the sansa clip with the turbines as well. Though you could go with the Fuze for more storage/screen size. My main source is an iphone 3g, but it's just ok. In fact I'm not sure what the all the hype about the iphone 3g is on here. It's sq is nothing to write home about -- unamped that is.

^Thade Yeah, they seem like there might be fit issues and that flat cable eliminates to option of the good ol' reverse mod. The turbines fit me great and aren't that noticeable either, I don't really need a big red b in my ear, nor super obvious red cables.

I would suggest listening to the monster beats tour as well as the turbines. I haven't heard them but they are essentially tuned for rap music, and if they are built as well as the turbines, they may be the best choice.

ka-boom is right. BUT, in this case, they aren't worth it as they are never worth it. The vibes sound decent if the only thing you are comparing them to are the stock ipod phones. The vibes have zero mids and the bass is horribly muddy. Not to mention the build quality is awful...

I would go with the turbines (you won't be disappointed) or save a little more and get the ie8's.

Around here it seems that the main comparisons in your price range are the Turbines vs m5's. Both beat the ie7 for bass. But the bass winners right now are the ie8's... if you want to go that far on the price. ignore the EB's as the bass is muddy, the highs can be piercing and you CAN NOT...
